Safety
Hello, I'm new to this forum and need some advice. I have been a slalom skier for many years and was somewhat active on the local tournament scene in southwest Louisana back in the late 70s and early 80s. After taking many years off I am now trying to pick up where I left off but I'm struggling with the most basic issue of getting up consistently. I recently went to a larger ski (69" HO Coefficient X with double boots) which skies well although I still struggle to get up on it. I seem to be doing something basically wrong and when I try to get up it's a very hard pull or I break over at the waist before the ski planes out. It feels like I'm standing the ski straight up and pushing against the boat. When I do get up I feel pretty rough across the wakes but I'm managing 15 off at 32 mph. How can I get back to getting up without even thinking about it?
