gator1
I'm getting ready to release V3.0. of gatormoded powershells based on @OB tests of 2.0. I want to make sure I've covered all injury modes in this binding. This is a request for data from all ballers who have been hurt in a PS setup. I need type of fall and which foot hurt, as well as extent of injury. If you don't want to go public PM me and you're data will stay private. Thanks! Hope by now you all know I'm not on a witch hunt. Baller Alberto Soares Posted August 4, 2014 Baller Share Posted August 4, 2014 @gator1 - I skied many years with a PS and did not have any big issues, but I was driving for one of my best friends, he had a bad OTF and ruptured his back foot achilles. The plate did release, but unfortunately too late.
Baller aupatking Posted August 4, 2014 Baller Share Posted August 4, 2014 OTF front (left) foot broken talus (bone directly below tibia and fibula in top of foot) requiring surgery. Torn ligaments and tendons. Plate released too late.
Baller_ MISkier Posted August 4, 2014 Baller_ Share Posted August 4, 2014 This is not my personal injury report, but an observation. Some years ago, I was at a Big Dawg tournament (as a spectator, naturally). Two 20-something guys were seated in lawn chairs next to me. Each had casts on a leg from below the knee downward. I overheard their conversation with another skier and both said it was an OTF in PowerShells resulting in a broken tibia. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.
