the cause of your wheelie starts way before the turn. right after the second wake heading into 1 ball you allow your arms to get pulled out and your upper body to get pulled over toward the boat both of which cause you to give most of your out bound angle back to the boat. so now your on a narrow path going straight at the 1 ball and you have to wait till you clear the ball and then jam on the brakes by laying back on the tail so you can salvage some kind of turn back toward 2 ball. your strong so you can eat the resulting slack but its killing any chance of carrying good speed and angle off the 1 ball.

also right after the wake you twist your upper body and hips toward the boat in an effort use what ever speed you still have to coast all the way to the 1 ball. this is the exact opposite of what you should be doing and it also locks you on that narrow path straight at the ball

Think about a race car driver on banked track and how he stays close to the in field in the straight stretch but swings way out wide into the corner so he can keep his speed up through the corner and drop back in to the straight away at the end of the turn. in stead of doing that its like your trying to hug the inner edge the whole way which forces you to jam on the brakes at the corner or youll be going to fast to turn.

to fix it you have to learn how to carry your speed out bound into your off side turn which means you have to fundamentally change your approach to the 1 ball. even though you will still come off the pull after the second wake you still need to keep your upper body away from the boat and the handle as low as possible. study your video and any video of the great skiers you can find on this forum and you will see a huge difference in how they cross into there off side compared with how you do it. if you learn to carry your speed out bound and then turn on to a solid inside edge you wont have to jam on the brakes at the ball and your wheelie will go away.

Binding location? Rini settings will keep the tip down on your offside, so must be the skier! :)

Mopre intense gate, make a definite edge change and get the ski out on a wider arc to ski away from the handle, then get your outside hip around and under the rope. You are skiing narrow and then just following the ski, and not having much input into the turn.. That is one thing watching the ProAm yesterday, those guys just push that ski around the balls before they hookup..
