Baller andjules Posted March 10, 2015 Baller Share Posted March 10, 2015 A girl who's been skiing with our group started to make a fair bit of progress towards the end of last summer, just about running the full course @ 28mph. As soon as she gets her off-side lean figured out, I expect she'll start picking up buoys fast. She just turned 16, athletic, 115lbs, probably still a little room to grow but not much. Wants a new ski, and wants to move to double boots, from an older O'brien Siege (can't recall if it's 63 or 65) Lyric seems like a good choice. 65"? Has anyone seen a closeout/deal on something else that might be appealing/fitting?
Baller Jordan Posted March 10, 2015 Baller Share Posted March 10, 2015 How tall is she? She will likely put on 10 or 15 pounds in the next couple of years...not getting out of shape, just maturity. I would account for that.
Baller andjules Posted March 10, 2015 Author Baller Share Posted March 10, 2015 Even still, if we imagine her increasing to 125lbs and her boat speed increasing to 32 or even 34, 65" is still the best length, no?
Baller skihard Posted March 10, 2015 Baller Share Posted March 10, 2015 I'm no pro but when I spoke to a friend who is a pro and a coach about a ski for my daughter he recommended a 65" ski. There is a ski now sitting in my boathouse..............just need to get her out on it now!
