Baller oldjeep Posted April 15, 2015 Baller Share Posted April 15, 2015 Ridiculous that they would be having issues on engines built 9 years ago. E10 has been prevalent for more than 20 years here. The stabilization text is particularly ridiculous unless they sell some really weird gas in the rest of the country.
Baller LeonL Posted April 15, 2015 Baller Share Posted April 15, 2015 An inexpensive test kit to determine the level of ethanol is available from several sources. Just google it. Peace of mind is worth a few bucks and 5 minutes.
Baller_ Jody_Seal Posted April 15, 2015 Author Baller_ Share Posted April 15, 2015 The particular FCC shown above started life around 1995-96. Some of these older units are now 20 years old. The newer FCC designs started 9 years ago. we are starting to see leakage of the older units. I may have replaced and sold 5 of the pass thru units last year and have sold or replaced at least 3 this year. all on late 90's FCC's. Bottom line is to inspect your fuel system s on a yearly basis, even if it is a package or manufacturer other than what is being described above. PCM Great product, great customer service and great communication to their dealers and owners of the products.
