Baller Andre Posted June 14, 2015 Baller Share Posted June 14, 2015 Been doing it for 13 years on my MC and my ski partner MC but never on a PCM. A friend is bringing me his boat in 45 minutes so i can take a look at his overheating problem.Same impeller since he owns the boat, almost 5 years and near 300 hrs. Anything special i need to know? I seems to remember not being as easy as on my Indmar or having to take the raw water pump completely off the engine? Not sure... Any help from you longtime Nautique owners ? Thanks! My ski finish in 16.95 but my ass is out of tolerance!
Baller thager Posted June 14, 2015 Baller Share Posted June 14, 2015 On My 02 the waterpump is under the right side of the engine. You will have to remove to replace impeller. Pretty much one or two bolts then slide remove on left side of engine. Easy but a PIA!
Baller Andre Posted June 14, 2015 Author Baller Share Posted June 14, 2015 Thanks thager! Exactly what i wanted to know. You do have to take the pump off. My ski finish in 16.95 but my ass is out of tolerance!
Baller rodltg2 Posted June 14, 2015 Baller Share Posted June 14, 2015 I just did mine on my gt40. Not sure if it's the same but it fairly easy. I just followed instructions from a post on planet nautique. Yes removed pump , marked it so it goes back the same way.
Baller dvskier Posted June 14, 2015 Baller Share Posted June 14, 2015 On a 2004 no need to remove pump. Loosen and remove serpentine belt. Remove 3 Allen bolts from front of pump. Pull impeller out and replace. 10 minute job.

Baller Andre Posted June 14, 2015 Author Baller Share Posted June 14, 2015 Done! Thanks to everyone! dvskier was right on the money! With 04 serpentine belt, just have to remove belt, allen bolts and 3 bolts of the pump cover! Impeller was toast,no major vanes parts gone into the engine.Just need an impeller. My friend went twice to Coble this spring and stopped twice at Overton, thought about buying one twice but failed to ...twice! Third strike! You're out! Off the lake on a Sunday game! :) My ski finish in 16.95 but my ass is out of tolerance!
