Baller TEL Posted October 2, 2015 Baller Share Posted October 2, 2015 I have a new 2015 ski, 2015 comp vest, 2015 gloves, 2015 rope and handle love them all. I need nothing. Then why do I have to be at Performance when the doors open on Saturday for their Demo and end of the year sale. Please help with a good excuse to leave the house without her. Damn addiction, I will have to hide my stash when I get home.

Baller BlueSki Posted October 2, 2015 Baller Share Posted October 2, 2015 Put an old combo ski in your ski bag. Tell her that you are going to have your fin block checked by Bill. Hide the old combo in the neighbors bushes. Go to Performance. Walk in to the house with your new ski in the old case.
Baller GOODESkier Posted October 2, 2015 Baller Share Posted October 2, 2015 Lots easier to have GOODE make you a new ski with the old "custom" graphics.......... Haven't used that one yet.
Baller OldboyII Posted October 2, 2015 Baller Share Posted October 2, 2015 No chance. Wifes do not need to hear excuses. They simply smell odor of our guilt.
Baller skialex Posted October 2, 2015 Baller Share Posted October 2, 2015 Print a fake gift card from Performance and say that you won a BOS contest something and Saturday is the day to cash it in. No need to hide the buyings cause they would be "free"!
Baller TEL Posted October 2, 2015 Author Baller Share Posted October 2, 2015 Horton, Yes Performance in Orlando, by the way I have bought all my equipment there. It's like a candy store. Skialex, I like the gift card idea
Baller ForrestGump Posted October 2, 2015 Baller Share Posted October 2, 2015 This just reaffirms my reasoning for the single life. Just don't tell my girlfriend I said that.

Baller Roger Posted October 2, 2015 Baller Share Posted October 2, 2015 Why don't you just tell her you want to check out the sale? Lying to your wife never has a good outcome...
Baller Stevie Boy Posted October 2, 2015 Baller Share Posted October 2, 2015 Tell her, sorry but you have a confession to make. "Babe I am sorry but I am ADDICTED TO CARBON FIBER"
Baller A_B Posted October 2, 2015 Baller Share Posted October 2, 2015 Tell her you heard there are fantastic discounts being given, and the more you spend, the more you save. Or tell her that some guy was going to present a seminar on boat driving, or some boring topic she would never want to sit through.. It used to be easier when every ski I bought was Black and Orange. I couldn't even tell them apart! :)

Baller Dacon62 Posted October 2, 2015 Baller Share Posted October 2, 2015 Just tell her your going with the agreement that she gets to spend as much as you do on clothes/purses or whatever her weakness is. That's the way this will shake out anyways.

Baller Skoot1123 Posted October 2, 2015 Baller Share Posted October 2, 2015 Thankfully my wife skis and knows the "issues" already. Would be easier if your wife was interested in some type of watersports activity and you could come home with a surprise gift!

Baller ISP6ball Posted October 3, 2015 Baller Share Posted October 3, 2015 Confess to your wife that your addicted to porn. When she flips her lid about it,...............pull out a magazine with the new 2016 skis in it, and tell her......sorry. She'll be so relieved that's all it is, and encourage you to go look at the new skis! No? Maybe it's the other way around. Who knows
Baller rodecon Posted October 3, 2015 Baller Share Posted October 3, 2015 I just used this one with pretty good results: " Honey, i dont want to buy a new ski, but i HAVE to on account of our eldest son has outgrown his ski so needs to move up to my current one...........what? You think my ski is to big for him? Naw, a 68" ski is perfect for a 13 year old!!!". ;)

Baller_ MISkier Posted October 4, 2015 Baller_ Share Posted October 4, 2015 @TEL, did you go to the sale and what did you buy? Or, is the "what didn't you buy" list shorter? The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.
Baller TEL Posted October 5, 2015 Author Baller Share Posted October 5, 2015 Well I gave in I told my wife that I wanted to check out the demo sale at Performance . But I would first drop her of at the Florida mall across the street. If you have never been it is a beautiful mall that has just been remodeled with the best food court of any mall I have been in. Guys never drop off your wife or girlfriend there. I did not need much but I did pick up a new rear toe binding $39. My wife spent $268 and lunch for use both $24 she then wanted to go to movies $30 then dinner $73. Did I say I spent 4 hour in the mall. The day spa would have been a lot cheaper Next time lie, lie, lie.
Baller Chef23 Posted October 5, 2015 Baller Share Posted October 5, 2015 @TEL next time just give in to your desires for more new ski stuff and it will be even.
Baller_ The_MS Posted October 5, 2015 Baller_ Share Posted October 5, 2015 @Mrs_MS Your are a wife that loves to ski so no Spa needed. You need to change your moniker now that you have a new bedroom set.
