sgraves
Hello, has anyone ever had any experience withe the oil filter adapter leaking under the engine? Did you have the engine pulled? Did you have any other work done at the same time? thx....
Baller_ DW Posted August 18, 2016 Baller_ Share Posted August 18, 2016 @sgraves : Is it leaking between the filter and gasket? Did you do a recent oil / filter change and if yes, you might have 2 oil seals rather than just the one on the filter. Sometimes the filter seal can stick to the adapter and not be noticed until you have the leak. If you are sure only one gasket, you can also simply check the tightness as the filter might have loosened up.
Baller LeonL Posted August 18, 2016 Baller Share Posted August 18, 2016 If assume that he has a remote filter and he's speaking of the adapter on the engine that routes oil to the remote filter.
markabuckman
On he off chance you are still watching this post it seems I may have a similar problem with a leak at the remote oil adapter on the rear passenger side of the same boat/engine. How did you resolve the problem? Thanks
