94 MC PS 190 ECM?

Trying to help my dad out, he has a 94 MC PS190 and the ECM went kaput on it. Plugged it up to PC and there is nothing there. Does anyone know where to get one or how to get it fixed? It has the 350 TBI.

MEFI 3 Indmar. Good luck. I would start with the known old time MasterCraft dealers or dealers that might have sold MC in that time period. Rambo. Bennetts. Also you can go to Team talk and put some feelers out.

I had a 2002 Malibu where the ECM went out and it was version 2. Those guys in CA are where I got my replacement from. I know they are really tough to find

@oldjeep Does that boat use a MEFI 1 or 3?

 

Also if we buy this ECM do we still need to get it reprogrammed?

@303Skier there should be a label on the ECM that shows what part number it is, so you can figure out what MEFI version you have.

 

I'm not sure on the reprogramming question...

@303Skier - I'm going to assume MEFI 1 since 94 pretty much marks the beginning of Marine fuel injection

 

But if you look at this link it shows the GM part numbers and a visual identification guide

As far as reprogramming that would be a question about if MC was using a custom tune or whatever GM was providing with the bobtail engines.

Believe it's got a tune - however many folks complain factory dumps too much fuel.

Thanks for the help guys! I will see what I can find. I think we are going to try and have it reprogrammed first. Then if that doesn't work...the hunt is on.
