Administrators Horton Posted December 22, 2016 Administrators Posted December 22, 2016 The Syndicate Hardshell Boot & Binding System is the latest step into the future of competition waterski gear. The top choice of tournament slalom skiers around the world for its reliable performance, this release mechanism employs an adjustable spring loaded heel unit that allows for tension release point modification in relation to skier weight and preference. Hardshell reliability is now paired with top of the line agility by employing a 3D printed outsole. This custom contoured footbed fits precisely with the boot shell. This enables full contact between boot and plate thereby stabilizing the connection by reducing lateral slippage and increasing agility. For maximum comfort and cushioning we’ve employed a heat-moldable liner, allowing for a personalized fit that contours to your foot shape for the best fit and feel in the industry. In addition we’ve added a Velcro ankle strap to keep your liners on your feet. The light weight yet reliable snow ski inspired boot buckles allow for personalized tightening. Use the buckle ladder to tighten or spin the buckle for a more customized fit. The Memory Buckle allows you to get a consistent tightness on the upper cuff every time you ski. Baller Ralph Lee Posted December 22, 2016 Baller Posted December 22, 2016 Looks pretty sweet! Has anyone put this boot to the test yet?
Baller LZywicki1 Posted December 24, 2016 Baller Posted December 24, 2016 Looks like the boot thats probably in box from edgewaterski.com/ that needs an unboxing. Larry -----<|
Administrators Horton Posted December 24, 2016 Author Administrators Posted December 24, 2016 @skibrain my assumption and this is only assumption is - they found Boots that they really like which were originally intended to have laces on them and then they retrofitted them for buckles. No one in the water ski industry is using a completely custom boot design Goode ★ KD Skis ★ MasterCraft ★ PerfSki ★ Radar ★ Reflex ★ S Lines ★ Stokes ★ Baller Video Coaching System ★ Wake Lending Become a Supporting Member or make a One-time Donation
Administrators Horton Posted December 24, 2016 Author Administrators Posted December 24, 2016 @skibrain Yes it does look like that shell. I have no knowledge so this is really pure speculation.... a boot order from HO would be big enough that they may have ordered a different stiffness or material or durometer or whatever. What I am suggesting is the the HO boot might come from the same mold but may not function the same as the one you would get off Amazon. As far as I know there all boots on the market that are biased on a skate shell. Baller GaryWilkinson Posted December 25, 2016 Baller Posted December 25, 2016 I think who cares where they come from really. They look great. I think the base and boot mating design is a great innovation. Should have great feel and edging ability on the water
Baller OldboyII Posted December 26, 2016 Baller Posted December 26, 2016 This boot would look very cool if HO keeps cuff buckle and use BOA instead of lower buckes.
Administrators Horton Posted December 26, 2016 Author Administrators Posted December 26, 2016 @OldboyII the buckles that HO are using should make it so you get the exact same fit every time. That is a step forward. Baller RAWSki Posted December 27, 2016 Baller Posted December 27, 2016 Looks nice. You would think if they did a large custom run of the boots they could have deleted the eyelets. Agree that the footbed-base design looks excellent. Basically a Reflex release with different boot and plate system??
Baller Deanoski Posted December 27, 2016 Baller Posted December 27, 2016 Looking forward to trying this new boot!
Administrators Horton Posted December 27, 2016 Author Administrators Posted December 27, 2016 @RAWSki again this is PURE SPECULATION. I would assume the holes for the eyelets are in the mold. They are there no matter what. Baller Bulldog Posted December 27, 2016 Baller Posted December 27, 2016 Looks like a great setup. I wonder how many $$$???? "Do Better..."
Baller ALPJr Posted December 27, 2016 Baller Posted December 27, 2016 Nice job HO. Great to see the innovation. Looking forward to the @Horton unboxing and review.

Baller jpattigr Posted December 27, 2016 Baller Posted December 27, 2016 Hi All, been in the Alpine ski world for over 30 years in the wholesale end of it. Not so easy to get rid of the eyelets, To develop and build new molds for shell is about $25,000 euro per model / per size. Once a mold is done, they are not able to change the design. As Horton mentions, you can change stiffness, color, even type of plastic used but the molds are fixed.
Baller RAWSki Posted December 27, 2016 Baller Posted December 27, 2016 I think those "top shell drain holes" look really good! B)
