Should the Regionals attendance requirement to participate in the Nationals be removed ?

@Bruce_Butterfield Is the exception for "competing against yourself", or being the only person entered in your division is how I perceive what you're saying, new? Are there requirements or restrictions to this? Thank you.

@unksskis, no the exception I was referring to is for skiers who ski Open at Nationals do not have to ski regionals:

 

At the tail end of the first paragraph in rule 4.02 "......A skier who enters the Open division at the Nationals in any event is not required to ski in his Regional Tournament."

 

Depending on the Region and year, having a single open skier is not unusual.

If it was easy, they would call it Wakeboarding

@ntx - That is my point. If State was a requirement then it would a worthy title. We promoted Texas state fairly well last year and had a huge turn out 70 Slalom Skiers and I think over 80 total skiers. M4 had 10 skiers in their division and our Regional only 18, but still only 3 of the top 10 in the in the ranking from Texas were there.
