Baller bigskieridaho Posted May 2, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 2, 2017 Just got a new Vapor Boot and wondering if I should heat mold it first or ski on and then decide?
Baller Chef23 Posted May 2, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 2, 2017 How does it feel when you put it on. If it feels ok go ski. If it feels snug heat mold it.
Baller ski6jones Posted May 2, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 2, 2017 Heat mold it. It's not that hard and it certainly won't hurt. Horton just reposted a howto video.
Baller Texas6 Posted May 2, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 2, 2017 Keep in mind, the new boots will feel a bit stiff regardless. Give them about 5-7 sets before they really get comfortable
Baller Jordan Posted May 2, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 2, 2017 They are designed to be heat molded....heat mold them.
Baller ESPNSkier Posted May 2, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 2, 2017 Go with the Heat molding as it will give you a better fit.

Baller cragginshred Posted May 2, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 2, 2017 Just pour very warm water over it on the dock with foot in the boot -according to a recent conversation with a rep!
mikegile
I did mine with the hot water shower. Slightly uncomfortable putting my foot in, but worked great. You are going to love them!
Baller cragginshred Posted May 2, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 2, 2017 @Texas6 are you talking about the Carbitex or the Vapor boots? Carbitex is even stiffer than the regular Vapor -dreading that break in time
Baller bigskieridaho Posted May 2, 2017 Author Baller Share Posted May 2, 2017 Vapor
Baller Texas6 Posted May 3, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 3, 2017 @cragginshred - referring to The Vapor boot. I've had several pairs and they are still my favorite system hands down. But they are stiff at first, rub on the high sides of the shin and ankle until they break in a bit. Once broken in, they are like my favorite pair of shoes
