Baller bigskieridaho Posted May 24, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 24, 2017 So the parents wanted a bigger boat, so when family comes they have room for everyone. 2005 Mastercraft X Star. They asked the question if they could ski behind it? Saw a couple videos and looks like a recreational wake to me. They are coming from the Sea Ray world. mikey
Not sure. But, I just bought a 2007 MC X15. It has a adjustable wake plate... It like looks to have a decent slalom wake... Does your boat have a wake plate? If so you may be able to adjust for a skiable wake..

Kdinger838
Never an x but I have behind a Tige z3 in texas. At 28' off it's not the worst thing in a world considering what it's made to do, But it's definitely not a ski boat
Baller Wayne Posted May 25, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 25, 2017 The wakes are a bit big for anything more than casual wake crossings. You can ski behind it but it's more "follow the boat" type of skiing. What sea ray did they have? An X-star is certainly a step up from the average I/O for wake sports.
