Baller Stevie Boy Posted July 3, 2017 Baller Share Posted July 3, 2017 Generally the wakeboarding community like to look Kewl / Sick (what ever the in terminology is) on and off the water, almost like Surfing Dudes, that have some sort of cult look. What can water skiers do to look Kewl. I am no expert in the latest trend in fashion or otherwise, does looking Kewl attract more people to a sport ? is there a opportunity for more sponsorship ? Baller keithh2oskier Posted July 3, 2017 Baller Share Posted July 3, 2017 I have a bone to pick with the industry in terms of "kewl" hat apparel. I only wear flex-fit hats. I hate snap backs and thought trucker style hats went out of style 10 years ago. Apparently no, its still in and almost every brand in the watersports industry has catered to this. I went to replace my long worn out Nautique hat to find they only make a simple black one. Okay fine let me check out what else exists. We are cool in our own way, and wakeboarders don't think so because they can't rip a course like us and are jealous. @keithh2oskier Trucker hats are awesome and I just picked up a sweet Malibu hat! I have a couple that were given to me and nothing looks dorkier than an old guy with one on. Finding a hat that A, fits right and B, has something on it that you like is a major score! Baller sunvalleylaw Posted July 4, 2017 Baller Share Posted July 4, 2017 I have a couple promotional flat brim hats from the SV Freeride team. I can fix them easily enough. They fit my head much more comfortably once I bend a reasonable curve into the brim. Problem solved. If I wear a flat brim, I look like some dad who is trying too hard to be cool. As far as looking cool in general, I have no idea. I stopped trying to be cool sometime in high school, when I figured trying to be cool didn't work for me.
