Baller h2onhk Posted August 21, 2017 Baller Share Posted August 21, 2017 Our river typically provides hours of great water skiing every season....The river gods were mad today. Rat Bast*rds. Ash tree limb, water logged just enough it floated 1/2" below the surface, but still solid.

Baller 6balls Posted August 21, 2017 Baller Share Posted August 21, 2017 Rivers can do that...how much damage to the boat/prop?
Baller Bill22 Posted August 21, 2017 Baller Share Posted August 21, 2017 @Razorskier1 at first I thought the same thing. I think he photoshopped it out to keep it a G rated post.
Baller Ed_Johnson Posted August 21, 2017 Baller Share Posted August 21, 2017 WE use to have a massive problem with that on the Wailua River in Kauai. Not only half sunk logs, but waterlogged coconuts just below the surface. Broke an ankle on one of those. It became standard to make a pass through the course looking for these before you skied. Baller h2onhk Posted August 21, 2017 Author Baller Share Posted August 21, 2017 @Razorskier1 and @Bill22 , Yes, kept the pic G rated....though I had a view choice words for the log. @6balls, no damage to boat. Prop damage with some mild vibration at 34, but not enough to warrant replacing until after the season. Shaft still turns true and strut/rudder were not affected. Luckily was only running trick speed otherwise it could have been a lot worse.
