Baller GHLskier Posted February 17, 2018 Baller Share Posted February 17, 2018 Curious about firebird lake. Love some direction. Staying up the road for sales meeting Sunday 25th thru 27th. Curious if 1) it’s possible to get a set there and 2) what are chances they have any kind of ski that I could use. Solid short line course skier just looking for some exercise Sunday afternoon and/or Tuesday afternoon? Not interested in travelling with ski this time. Been a long winter and love to stretch the arms if possible. Thanks

Baller SusanT Posted February 18, 2018 Baller Share Posted February 18, 2018 Contact Ed Fisher at 602-482-7571 fsd2@cox.net. He is very accommodating and a great guy. I have direct several out of area skiers to Firebird for ski sets.

Members Greg Banish
Ed was a great host when I skied with him a while ago. Be forewarned, Firebird lake is the saltiest body of water you will ever ski though. The water is kind of nasty between the mineral/salt content and leftover race fuel in it. But hey, you're skiing...
Baller Edbrazil Posted February 20, 2018 Baller Share Posted February 20, 2018 Pro Tour went there once. We competed in their main drag race lake. Serious backwash from the sides, but the scores were still good for that era.

Baller matthewbrown Posted February 22, 2018 Baller Share Posted February 22, 2018 Firebird is great for reducing your buoy count by 90%, increasing the breakdown time of your ski/boat via salt infiltration, blow drying your hair with 60 mph crosswinds, and lastly it’s perfect for skin radiation as there are no trees and the temperatures are 115+ in the summer. @Horton

Baller Ed_Johnson Posted February 23, 2018 Baller Share Posted February 23, 2018 Skied it in 94. Was pretty cool back then, all glass. You paid $5.00, and they raised what was a sunken course. All they said was, let us know when your done. Pretty cool !!!
Baller Mateo_Vargas Posted March 4, 2018 Baller Share Posted March 4, 2018 Saw a shot of the course on Street Outlaws VS Fast N’ Loud the other day .
Baller dbski Posted March 4, 2018 Baller Share Posted March 4, 2018 Also is the home of the Bondurant driving school. Went there for a 3 day course several years ago, one of the greatest things I've ever done. If it wasn't so damn expensive racing cars, for me, is even better than skiing.
