They are skiing in the river so probably not the best skiing condition you may think but it's the closest place that you can ski slalom course. Ok I'll tell them about you! There are a few places to ski over there but the best in my opinion is Lake Kawaguchi. Last time I was there was 2008 and they still had the jump. It's such a cool mix of completely bonkers tech, culture, and food with natural beauty, an appreciation for nature, serenity, etc. I've been there probably a dozen or so times but I still don't think I'll ever "get" it.
