@MillerTime38 It's About an hour and half by train.

They are skiing in the river so probably not the best skiing condition you may think but it's the closest place that you can ski slalom course.

Hey Brad, good to hear you’ve arrived in Japan safe and sound! You dropped off the radar screen this spring and we didn’t know what was up. Give our best to Jess and the kids and enjoy your stay in Japan. Hope you get lots of ski time in!

I spent a lot of time in Yokosuka back in the 80's. There are a few places to ski over there but the best in my opinion is Water skiing in Kawaguchiko Lake Kawaguchi. Last time I was there was 2008 and they still had the jump. Skiing will be icing on the cake you are going to love Japan! Go Navy!

I love Japan. It's such a cool mix of completely bonkers tech, culture, and food with natural beauty, an appreciation for nature, serenity, etc. I've been there probably a dozen or so times but I still don't think I'll ever "get" it.
