Baller ral Posted December 25, 2018 Baller Share Posted December 25, 2018 A friend fell hard yesterday after hitting a ball, face first into the handle, and hit his eye with it (he almost made Finals in the last Worlds, so sone here probably met him). He dislocated his cristalline lens, and was told he will need to have several surgeries in the following months. Have anyone here had/heard about this type of injury, outcomes, recovery time? Baller S1Pitts Posted December 25, 2018 Baller Share Posted December 25, 2018 @ral Best wishes to your friend for a speedy recovery from a most unfortunate injury. This sports generates injuries like no other. I would be willing to bet that if we started a post for all the different types of injuries we as skiers have received the thread would be the longest in BOS history. I have been seriously injured 3 times in my 40+ yrs of skiing with one injury taking 7 surgeries and a 5 yr lay off from skiing yet here I am back at it harder than ever. I expect your friend will be back skiing well before the doctor clears him in any way because that's what we do.
