Baller skierjp Posted February 2, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 2, 2019 @mbabiash you need to make sure what engine the boats have. Plus, did the Nautique have Trick tanks?
Baller skierjp Posted February 2, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 2, 2019 Also metal flake and hull color really effect the price
Baller mbabiash Posted February 2, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 2, 2019 I’m fully aware of all engine and ballast options and prices. Yes with ballasts 200 with 6.0 and pro star with 5.7. Both perfect combinations for those hulls. The same 6.0 in the new nautique is 20 k more. 6.2 30k more.
Baller skierjp Posted February 3, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 3, 2019 Lol, the 6 liter is the standard engine and the 6.2 is not 30k. That’s about double the cost, you may want to recheck your sources or find another dealer.
Baller swc5150 Posted February 3, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 3, 2019 I think he’s saying the 6.0 in the SN is $20k more than the Nautique 200 6.0/5.7 MC, and the 6.2 $30k more than them. That’s about the same difference my dealer told me.
Baller skierjp Posted February 3, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 3, 2019 Ok, that makes sense. But you can’t compare the 200 to the Ski Nautique in price, 2 complete different boats and packages. I thought he was sayin the 6.2 engine option was 30k.
Baller blakeyates Posted February 3, 2019 Author Baller Share Posted February 3, 2019 To change gears within this thread, this discussion Post started at the Atlanta Boat Show. Guess what is next door to the location of that show? That would be Mercedes Benz Stadium and the Super Bowl. Should we start a New Post as to predictions of tonight’s game? Baller EricKelley Posted February 3, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 3, 2019 This is interesting, looks like Mastercraft is marketing towards a lower price point. This photo was taken at the Louisville boat show. Of course they didn't have a Prostar. Their value models looked excellent.
Baller mbabiash Posted February 3, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 3, 2019 @swc5150 is correct. I guess I didn’t explain it very clearly. Only reason I compared the new Ski Nautique to the 200 is because its the same price as the new pro star which is the boat that @skierjp compared the new Ski Nautique to. Don’t get me wrong. I think the new Ski Nautique is an incredible boat. Just not for that spread in pricing.
Baller swc5150 Posted February 3, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 3, 2019 @blakeyates Patriots will be tough to beat today I'm thinking. Being a Packer fan, I have no bias today.
Baller swc5150 Posted February 3, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 3, 2019 The new SN looked smaller to me in person than I thought it would be. Maybe an optical illusion from the larger motor box? It definitely has the look of a dedicated ski boat, which is really cool. And that dash is just awesome.
Baller jjackkrash Posted February 3, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 3, 2019 If you are not satisfied with the 5.7 in the Prostar it is close to a $14k upcharge for the 6.2; going from a single to a tandem axle trailer is also a pretty big up-charge on the Prostar for some reason. It would be nice if the Prostar had a 6.0L or H5 (5.3) option. Both the 200 and the SN have the 6.0l as a base engine.
Baller oldjeep Posted February 3, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 3, 2019 @swc5150 I think it was also the wide gunnel boxes that contribute to it being small inside.
Baller CGSki Posted February 3, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 3, 2019 The NY boat show had big booths from Nautique, Mastercraft and Malibu. We spent a bunch of time on the the Ski Nautique and 210. The folks there were great, they let the kids use VR goggles that made it look like they were out on the water. Great to see the new SN in person, even in my least favorite color scheme.
Baller KRoundy Posted February 4, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 4, 2019 Seattle Boat Show. Loved my chat with Adam from Radar at the Wiley's booth. Some great-looking ski boats. The SN had been sold.

04196
@KRoundy the Nautique at the show had been "sold" to one of the partners, or past partners that is, of Pacific Nautique, sadly learned they had sold out to Lake Union Sea Ray, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Baller KRoundy Posted February 5, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 5, 2019 @04196 Wait, what!?!? The entire Pacific Nautiques dealership is gone? NOOOOOO!!!!! Before I panic - are you sure you don't mean MasterCraft? If you go to the Lake Union Sea Ray web page MasterCraft boats are front and center: lakeunionsearay.com/ But if you go to the Pacific Nautiques web site all they have is information about the 2018 boats... oh dear... 04196
@KRoundy - yup, I am sure, talked to Rob, Ron & Doug at the show. If you noticed the little, and I mean little, placards on each of the Nautiques, they said something to the effect of (in very small print) "brought to you by Lake Union Sea Ray". Rob will be staying on in some capacity but both Ron & Doug are out. Now time will tell if they keep operations "as is" but something tells me things will be consolidated. In either case, still a sad day to see "OUR" Nautique dealer sell. They were great guys to deal with.

Baller skimtb Posted February 8, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 8, 2019 Wow. Would be interesting to see the joystick steering. Adding up all the motor stuff is $113k. That alone gets me a nice demo prostar, and more pontoon than you should need. Funny game.
Baller h2onhk Posted February 8, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 8, 2019 That pontoon is a giant waste of horsepower and water displacement.........and money
Baller Bjkesler Posted February 10, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 10, 2019 Scott, what did you think of the all white nautique? All the angles made it look like there was some gray. Had to look twice.
Baller Dacon62 Posted February 10, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 10, 2019 The margins on pontoons must be crazy high. Saw lots at the Seattle Show and kept thinking they want how much?? There’s not much to them.
Baller_ Wish Posted February 10, 2019 Baller_ Share Posted February 10, 2019 They have upped things in materials and engines and a 3rd pontoon but over $200k they must be making a fortune.
Baller thager Posted February 12, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 12, 2019 @Wish Looked at some of the newer pontoons the other day. Basically climbed all over and under them Fancier but still the same construction as when I built them. Materials have changed but construction has not. Still a ripoff! Baller rayn Posted February 25, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 25, 2019 Why would a pontoon boat need twin 400hp racing engines? That is ridiculous.
Baller Eljaybee Posted February 25, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 25, 2019 Beautiful Mastercraft ....I would love to know how many months at $457/mo it takes to payoff a Prostar
Baller ScottScott Posted February 25, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 25, 2019 "eljaybee" My 1st thought is 15 years (fairly standard on a new/nearly new boat,) but the math doesn't allow for much interest even then. "as low as" is a key phrase there. Bare bones, stripped down, with boat show discount .....maybe that works with 15 years, of course they are also likely factoring in a 10-20% down payment....then it probably works. Or, maybe they're financing new boats longer?
Baller PatM Posted February 26, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 26, 2019 At the Detroit show that is Silver Spray Sports with the 2 Nautiques. Jeff Smith owns Silver Spray Sports - He is a big time skier. At Okee a lot and I believe he is a Big Dawg skier also. So makes sense that the ski boats are well represented there
Baller Kimbymon Posted February 26, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 26, 2019 @"Pat M" Jeff and Patty are super nice. I spoke with them at the show. My parents know them from way back on Secord lake in mid-Michigan. Somewhere my mom has a picture of Jeff slalom skiing with my little brother, who was maybe 2 at the time on his shoulders. Baller_ DW Posted February 26, 2019 Baller_ Share Posted February 26, 2019 And all three manufacturers have robust dealers in the area, so SE Michigan is a very competitive market flush with dealers. Action and Tommy's represent the other of the big 3.
Baller swc5150 Posted February 26, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 26, 2019 @Eljaybee That would be 20% down at 15 years, and I would and I have no doubt applies to the Prostar it's posted on.
