There is a lot of excitement about the new Denali in another thread. Innovation and competition is great for our sport! Yet it made me wonder what brand and model ski are the top 10 skiers in the world using?

@aussiemc thank you. I find this interesting. The D3 website has no mention of Freddie Winter on their list of sponsored skiers. For the top 10 on your list looks like 2 D3, 2 Connelly, 2 HO, 2 Goode, 1 Reflex and 1 Radar. Right?

What major ski brands are unrepresented on this list?

Do ya think it just might have something to do with the dry side of the ski? Yes, the equipment is critical, but the top skiers know how to tune the ski to match their style and maximize performance.

@Bruce_Butterfield yes, I subscribe to the theory that it's the Indian more than the arrow. Yet, there is so much excitement about "arrows " I got curious....

I find it interesting that one top skier, a world champ, isnt sponsored publicly by the ski he rides on.

Also, how many do you think it is an out of the box ski? I'm sure they try different layups of the ski before deciding which one works for them. The companies don't send them a ski they send them skis.

@Jordan he went from Goode to Monte Carlo and then sometime last year I believe was skiing on all sorts of different skis, with some pretty entertaining instagram posts.

There is a thread somewhere on here about his ski choice/sponsorship. He actually put a video out explaining that he chooses not to endorse any particular brand so that he can ski on whatever he wants (paraphrasing). I believe he was on a KD Platinum for a while last year?
