Members brettmainer
I’ve been measuring boot placement from tail to boot shell just under block. Is this “the standard” location to measure to? I’m asking because I am WAY off from what is recommended for my current ski, which has caused me to wonder.
Baller AkBob Posted May 10, 2019 Baller Share Posted May 10, 2019 I believe you are correct. Just under the block touching the plastic shell
Baller C5Quest Posted May 10, 2019 Baller Share Posted May 10, 2019 There’s a few other threads about this. I believe for this hard shell measure to under the block

Baller_ lpskier Posted May 11, 2019 Baller_ Share Posted May 11, 2019 Measure from the point of the boot closest to the tail, which in your case is right under the block. It’s not whether you are where the manufacturer says you should be, it’s whether the ski works for you. In 1/4 ahead of stock on the ski I’m riding right now.
