The water dropped dramatically during the drought about 5 years ago rendering most boat ramps unusable. Just below Lake Buchanon is Lake LBJ. There is a slalom course on Lake LBJ and its constant level and the conditions are usually better. I saw the chair lift mountain bike park too. Looks cool. Cheers! Baller ForrestGump Posted May 28, 2019 Baller Share Posted May 28, 2019 Years ago there was a slalom course on Buchanan that was maintained by a couple of families that were competitive skiers. It was over by Council Creek. Like a lot of public places to ski, those families went by the wayside once their kids graduated and went off to college in the 90s.
