Baller bhs Posted June 22, 2019 Baller Share Posted June 22, 2019 Anyone one else on a 68" XTR and using a CG fin? The CG fin is an improvement on the XTR. Tip stays down and I believe I get better angle. I am RFF and occasionally the ski seems to not want to turn but run straight at the apex of 1,3,5. Sometimes I fall over at the finish of 2,4,6... all of which I believe is more technique then anything else. However, I am curious what everyone else is using for settings. currently I am using 6.778, 2.516 and .
Baller skibug Posted June 22, 2019 Baller Share Posted June 22, 2019 @bhs are those numbers with a stock fin or the CG fin? Is it the classic CG fin or the one they use on the Denali? In either case, the depth and DFT look off by quite a bit. Too deep and to far back. Is the length measurement with jaws or tips? Is the DFT with the caliper head or stem? Baller Ed_Johnson Posted June 22, 2019 Baller Share Posted June 22, 2019 Sounds way off to me also. As an example, my 68" D3 NRG is set at 7.011 2.438 .085 and wing at 5 degrees. Skis perfectly and turns on a dime both sides with the CG Fin.
Baller bhs Posted June 23, 2019 Author Baller Share Posted June 23, 2019 Clearly I screwed this up. I have the Denali CG and not the classic. I set it up lats year to Goode factory settings only moving it back slightly as per @AdamCord suggestions. Not sure if the fin moved but I am going to set the fin back to Goode factory using my slot caliper and see how it goes.
