Baller_ MISkier Posted June 23, 2019 Baller_ Share Posted June 23, 2019 The Meijer State Games for 2019 included the 3 Event water skiing competition at the West Shore Water Ski Club near Grand Rapids. Great job by @BrentOvermire and @kurt, along with many West Shore volunteers and others from that area. There were 50 skiers for the Slalom event yesterday. Some were novices, some were first timers, and some were returning to tournament competition after 20+ years. There were tons of collegiate skiers. I'm not sure how many participated in the Trick and Jump portion today, but I expect it was 30+. We really received a gift in the weather department. After a horrid Spring and a dismal forecast earlier this week, it was 80 and sunny both days with reasonable winds. It was a lot of fun and very positive to see such a great turnout.
