Skitooth Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Looking to finally get a new ski. Skiing on an HO triumph that’s probably 10 years old. I’m 60 and don’t ski the course but ski aggressively in open water for fun. 33 to34 mph. Looking at the Senate Graphite and Carbon Omni. 2019 models both are still available at decent prices. Any appreciable differences?
Baller jhughes Posted September 8, 2019 Baller Posted September 8, 2019 Honestly it doesn't matter for what you're doing. Most skis will feel great and similar in open water. Both are great ski companies and great products. Pick the one that looks cooler to you.
Baller vtmecheng Posted September 8, 2019 Baller Posted September 8, 2019 Pick the one you can get for less money. Many places will have demo or closeout deals soon. Give perfski.com a call and see what they have. They should also have the end of year weekend sale soon.
Skitooth Posted September 8, 2019 Author Posted September 8, 2019 They both look like great skis and think they will be a big improvement. Let the sales begin.
Baller Garn Posted September 13, 2019 Baller Posted September 13, 2019 I cannot recommend the Omni high enough. Its a game changer and just plain fun and effortless to ski on.
Baller Jerry44 Posted September 13, 2019 Baller Posted September 13, 2019 I have a Carbon Omni and had a Senate C (which is basically the current Senate Graphite) They're both great skis and you'll be thrilled with either one.
