Baller ColeGiacopuzzi Posted September 18, 2019 Baller Share Posted September 18, 2019 @gsm_peter The new pulse boots are rad! I enjoyed getting to ski in them back in March. They did replace the profiles for 2020, but I think they're a step up in terms of performance and level of comfort. I wouldn't say they're lower in height. Baller dvskier Posted September 19, 2019 Baller Share Posted September 19, 2019 @ColeGiacopuzzi How about width as opposed to the Profile boot?
Baller ColeGiacopuzzi Posted September 19, 2019 Baller Share Posted September 19, 2019 @dvskier the Pulse boot is built on the same chassis as the profile was, so you get the same wider width the profile has than the vapor. It’s more comfortable with a removable intuition liner. Radar Skis Follow Instagram
Baller MatadorMaine Posted September 19, 2019 Baller Share Posted September 19, 2019 I was told the pulse replaced the profile. I just switched from my profile 11 to pulse 11. The pulse is way more snug but in a good way. I can feel the whole boot. Took 4-5 sets to not notice it and break in the liner a bit. When I put it on for the first time I couldn’t believe how much more snug it felt. I had 75ish sets on the profile boot but it started to come apart a bit on the inside so moved to the profile. Went really bad OTF once a few weeks ago on the pulse and it worked as designed...liner came out as it should have. I was pleased. Have 25 ish sets on the pulse. Love it so far. Baller APB Posted September 19, 2019 Baller Share Posted September 19, 2019 The replacement.... def a step up in performance. Removable intuition liners as well.
Baller gsm_peter Posted September 19, 2019 Author Baller Share Posted September 19, 2019 Great info. Thanks. Just ordered new Pulse boots. I hope the Pulse will expand like the Profiles. My Profiles have given quite a bit. My feets seems to have inherrit some geens from Donald Duck. Wide and flat. Tried Vapors but the Vapors are too narrow even without liners... Baller wettek69 Posted December 31, 2019 Baller Share Posted December 31, 2019 Is molding the liners necessary, and does it make that much of a difference? Sorry, never used a boot with a liner before. My old Profile is dying, so looking at going with the Pulse.
Baller gsm_peter Posted December 31, 2019 Author Baller Share Posted December 31, 2019 I Only got one odd set with them before we had to pull the course and the boat. The where great. Much firmer feel for 'canting' Simple method: You can heat mild using warm water in the boots. A bit warmer than a really hot shower. Fill the boats twice and then wait for 5 minutes. Put in your feet and tight the binding. Wait for 5 minutes and you are ready. Repete if neccesary.
Baller wettek69 Posted January 1, 2020 Baller Share Posted January 1, 2020 @gsm_peter Thanks mate. My local ski shop reckons they ski great straight out of the box, but did say heat moulding them will make them even more comfortable. Sounds like they are a good boot.
