  1. Seems like folks are 50/50 teak oil vs sealer. Here is the 2nd coat of sealer, during and after pics. I'll report back on slipperiness level and longevity. We are in Maine so different than FL etc but no lift, no canopy. She's in the elements May 1 - October 1. So far I'm stoked and give the Starbrite sealer and cleaning products a 10-10-10 on look, feel and ease of application. Hopefully this doesn't happen!
  2. I had a fiberglas swim platform for 15+ years on the Nautique but finally have teak on the Prostar. Over researching had me choose use Starbrite Teak Sealer instead of using a Teak Oil. Some before, during and after pics. 2021 Prostar teak platform in pretty good shape: 1. Did a very light and quick 220 sanding. 2. Starbrite Teak Cleaner (per directions). 3. Starbrite Teak Bightener (per directions). 4. Let dry and applied 1 coat of Starbrite Teak Sealer, Classic Teak color. Happy so far. Probably add 1 more coat of Teak Sealer. Think the sealer was the way to go or traditional teak oil?
  3. 1709400878251.mp4 This place is amazing! I'm so fortunate to have skied here with @m_pags 1709401368702.mp4 1709401726628.mp4 This is from a few years ago but it's only gotten better! @m_pags @schafer @ProStah_Skiah 1709402205906.mp4
  4. Personally I'm holding out and waiting for the Senate Pro+ release. 😜 #SenatePro+
  5. Yes! That's what my research says...but seemed odd to me that it was different for jump/slalom.
  6. Hit the button when gate hits GPS sensor (puck) or at the pylon. Thanks.
  7. @UWSkier I think you meant Fenway Park :)- Great pics from all these guys #goredsox
  8. I want to see more pics. That place is magical, mythical and ski-p@rn at its core. The 2023 Herb's Cup footage on Insta was sick and makes me want to go back.
  9. That boat has a fuel filter in the fuel cell. Any Nautique dealer will have the filter in stock. My SN 2007 would do the same thing. It's a 4 minute job and most likely the issue. Do that before spending $ on cap and rotor. They also have them on NautiqueParts.com. My buddy with same boat was having same issue last week. 4 minutes later it was fixed. Filter hadn't been changed in 3 years. It was BLACK.
  10. Either use green novice buoys OR 4' of PVC capped and zip tied directly to your PVC arm. They will work as float and keep arms from sagging. Works well but nothing works better than some novice balls.
  11. Just finished my DECKadence install on my 2021 Prostar. I did the tracing and cutting at my ski buddies camp when he wasn't there so I left him a few DECKadence nuggets 😉
  12. I've skied it for 2 seasons. My son too. I feel the BOA can be as tight or loose as you want. I go about 75% tight...once I feel it wrap and get firm I stop. My son barely tightens just until he barly feels it. We had this discussion the other day. I've OTF'd at least 3 times (full yard sale)...came out completely (as maybe was the design) each time. I did OTF the other day regrettably and only I came out about 1/2 way. So got back on platform and straightened myself out lol. I upgraded from the Profile which I keep as a backup. I love the feel of both of them...but prefer the stiffness of the Vapor.
  13. @Horton...like @theboardingschool...TMoye looooves black boats...and towers. Anyone reading...I'm shopping wicked hard for a 2018-2020 loaded PS with a tower. That's how I stumbled on the black beauty I posted the picture of. It's #18 of 25. It's for sale on FB.
  14. Ballers! What sort of premium, if any, would you put on a 2018 50th black on black PS? Wondering if folks think the 50th anniversary boats (the 25 black ones) will appreciate in value or just be valued as as "2018 black fully loaded ProStars"? I don't have any sales data to go on to see if there is any uptick compared to other loaded (non-black) 50th Prostars. Thoughts?
  15. I'll probably watching some clips of the Masters but definitely selling my Nautique and buying a MasterCraft ProStar.
  16. Thanks @cougfan . Hoping @thager @igkyas @packski @bsmith @Ed_Obermeier can all give updates to this thread as it relates to how they are today, braces, other knee experiences as they relate to skiing. I'll let you know how PRP goes. Being only 46 I feel I'm too young for replacement (right now, not ruling out at all) so I'm going to try everything first. Probably goes without saying that I was VERY active until about June/July when it all came crashing down. (proficient runner (2 marathons), road races, basement gym, college soccer, 100 sets a year h20 skier, multiple FLA trips a year to ski, snow skier, hiker, etc). The pain actually started in the hip and I thought my hip was broken or something (lol)...then then knee started in BAD as I addressed the hip strength and some IT band issues. (you know why hip hurt if on this thread...over compensation, mechanics, etc). Sort of related: Has anyone seen this vid? Dr. Andrew Pearle - Robotic PKR - Anyway, I'm constantly researching, stressing, overthinking. 3 OA doctors (2 knee surgeons, 1 PT/PRP/shot doctor) have told me I might need to be done in the course because of the repetition it takes each season to make progress. Can't believe all 3 said pretty much same thing. I even went to Boston! Paraphrasing here but consensus was "If you want to ski a few times a year we can shoot you up, but skiing and hammering 5X a week is a whole other ballgame." Then I come on BOS and read about guys with TKR and PKR. My wife is probably sick of my talking about it so venting on BOS. - Thanks!
  17. @packski I did have Euflexxa. Waste of time and $. I was soooo hopeful it would help. 46 years old...-28 skier with a few passes at -32. Knee is toast. Cartilage loss under knee cap, bad bone bruise. I've been doing a ton of PT since September for hip and knee. Also taking fish oil, glucosamine, Chondrotin, etc. Anything natural that I read that might help. Euflexxa was a waste. If it helped 10% I can't tell. Had PRP injection yesterday. Does hurt as they say...time will tell for me but I reading every stem cell, PRP, Euflexxa, TKR, RKR post I can. Crushed. Glad to hear there are TKR guys out there that are still skiing. @cougfan I too am hobbling up stairs. I'll take any advice out there.
