  1. @packski I did have Euflexxa. Waste of time and $. I was soooo hopeful it would help. 46 years old...-28 skier with a few passes at -32. Knee is toast. Cartilage loss under knee cap, bad bone bruise. I've been doing a ton of PT since September for hip and knee. Also taking fish oil, glucosamine, Chondrotin, etc. Anything natural that I read that might help. Euflexxa was a waste. If it helped 10% I can't tell. Had PRP injection yesterday. Does hurt as they say...time will tell for me but I reading every stem cell, PRP, Euflexxa, TKR, RKR post I can. Crushed. Glad to hear there are TKR guys out there that are still skiing. @cougfan I too am hobbling up stairs. I'll take any advice out there.
  2. @braindamage I figured it out with the help of @Xpropman and I posted my solved issue in a related ZO Aquastar thread. In 2007 Nautique incorrectly wired the diagnostics port. There are 2 wires, the white and gray, that needed to be swapped. ZO had no idea...but Skip did and called me. Thanks again Skip!
  3. Solved!!! Thanks you @Xpropman !!! Thank you. I learned from Skip who was nice enough to call me after seeing my post above that in 2007 Nautique incorrectly wired the diagnostics port. They accidentally switched 2 wires. To get the ECOM cable to work you need to swap the Gray and White wires on the diagnostics port. See photos below. With a small flat head screwdriver pop the small light-gray piece off the port (shown in bottom right of 1st photo below), then pop the long support light-gray plastic piece off the port (it's half off in photo #1). Then take needle nose pliers and pull out (pull pretty hard to pop out) the 2 wires. Notice they have a square-ish end. They only go in and out one way. Swap them and reassemble. To push them in hold the wire near the end with the needle nose and push hard...they pop back into place (like when they popped out). The ECOM cable has 2 pins. If they are not correct on the diagnostics port the ECOM will just wildly blink and won't connect. The process after you have connection is easy...connect, upload .mot file, done. Zero Off had no idea why my good ECOM cable would not connect to the head or boat, but I'm letting them know today. Looks like @bojans went a different route that worked...but now we all know why he had to do it the way he did. Thanks again @Xpropman Keywords: zero off, aquastar not connecting, ECOM cable, 2007 Ski Nautique
  4. Help, @bojans @Gloersen I'm have the SAME issue you described with the Aquastar. Any chance we can chat? Mike 207-712-3333 - SN 2007 upgrading to single puck. ZO confirms all good with antenna set up with connections. BUT can't get ECOM cable to 'connect'. Power light is good but other 2 just flash. Uninstalled/Reinstalled AS. Driver is up to date and verified. Even tried running AS in windows compatibility mode per ZO tech suggestions. Not getting 'connected'. I have new .mot file handy, Password and Serial # both work fine (if it didn't it would close the program). ECOM cable was recently used on another upgrade. Any assistance appreciated. I'm super frustrated.
  5. My ECOM cable won't connect. Grrrr. Everything set up correctly and new driver installed. Anyone? Passwords work...just won't connect.
  6. @lpskier sounds like a good idea. We have a very similar setup (EZ Slalom from Ed @Ed_Obermeier ) and this looks like it won't hurt. Pulling anchors is a PITA but may dive and add some jugs. Thanks. @Ed_Obermeier --- what are your thoughts on adding a jug to an anchor line?
  7. I was told the pulse replaced the profile. I just switched from my profile 11 to pulse 11. The pulse is way more snug but in a good way. I can feel the whole boot. Took 4-5 sets to not notice it and break in the liner a bit. When I put it on for the first time I couldn’t believe how much more snug it felt. I had 75ish sets on the profile boot but it started to come apart a bit on the inside so moved to the profile. Went really bad OTF once a few weeks ago on the pulse and it worked as designed...liner came out as it should have. I was pleased. Have 25 ish sets on the pulse. Love it so far. 8. @Rednucleus @bkreis MRI next week. Pain: face left palm up. Take finger and point right where the bicep meets the forearm. Right in that pit where your arm bends....exactly opposite of the elbow. @bkreis I see you on Insta...will DM you there. Yeah, the season is almost here...I have a trip to FLA already scheduled for April. I wanted to go in Feb but that’s not happening now. Full panic mode not knowing what to do. Was told to 100% rest for 4 weeks. Did that and it feels the exact same. Just need a path to recovery. This in between isn’t helping. Weeks slipping away.
  9. I’m 44 and live in Maine. Ski 4-5x a week May 15 - late Sept with 2 off seasons FLA trips a year. This constant tendon pain nagged terribly late summer into fall and still today. I could still ski (straight arms focused) but went from being able to do 10 pull-ups (summer) to 3 (fall) because of the pain, and it then it killed after sets. So the painful ski season ends about Oct 10...but I had a Florida trip already booked to ski with my son (Nov 15) ...so was doing weights, rower, burpees, (everything but pull-ups) to TRY to keep fit for Florida. Hurt so bad I finally went to Dr about a week befor FLA. He told me to REST, crush anti inflammatories and that the FLA trip was a bad idea but I should be ok. (I thought 4 weeks of no skiing would fix it). I stayed fit, went to FLA, skied OK, but tendon felt like it was going to explode. Now 4+ weeks later (100% total rest) it still hurts pretty bad. No weights, no rower, no skiing, nothing. Headed to Dr next week for a follow up but already know it’s kinda torn. Wondering what the best PT plan is.(..hoping Dr puts me on right path.) What did your PT involve? Want to be able to compare...and maybe hear some PT success stories.
  10. @TEL we ran into a similar issue about 5 years ago, but opposite. We thought our local course was too long...but by a few feet...in a few places. We'd PD all day, then go to the other course on our lake and stink it up. Took us a while to realize what the issue was as were just 15-22 skiers at the time. We sort of knew the course owners, but it was tough to tell these guys who ripped better than us (on their course only) that their course was too long. Imagine a 15' skier telling a 32' ski that HIS course was junk. So after some measuring we all deemed it was way too long. (yes, PP and ZO helped us with that too, but was easy to measure) It was 25+ years old with too many band-aids on the main lines. We, with the old time rippers who owned the course replaced it from scratch with one from @Ed_Obermeier - they knew it was time to scrap the ol' girl. When we pulled it out it had 2 big main line repairs. Our course is mint now...but the older guys don't rip as well...so not as often. Still feel a little bad. We took it over so they are happy it's perfect and they don't have to deal with all the issues of a course on a public lake. Thanks again @Ed_Obermeier - Ed was a great help. We tweaked a few Ed things over the years as any maniacal course owner would.
  11. Been on my 67 2019 Senate Pro 1 week/6 sets. Ran a PB my first set on it but maybe I was just fired up having been on a ski buddy's 67 2018 Lithium Senate for the 3 weeks prior. I'm a 22' skier (32/34mph) with some sloooow 28's under the belt -- ran a (PB) clean 28' at 32.0 mph my first time on the Senate Pro in some chop - took 3 stabs but made it. I'm sure summer timing had a lot to do with it (we live in Maine) but moral of the story I didn't skip a beat jumping on it and I'm very happy with it. I really like the 17/18 Senate I was borrowing but my balance for some reason seems to be a little better on the Pro. Maybe it's the cool sticker lol. As other say, speed and style I'm sure has a lot to do with it too but the window for hooking up seems wider. I was on a 69 2017 Lithium Senate the past 2 full years until June-ish when I graduated to a 67. After a clinic...Corey Vaugh "...Mike, get off the 69, you need to be on a 67" now). I'm in that grey area for a 67/69 but think it comes down to boat speed, form and time behind the boat. I tried a 67 for 2 weeks last summer and just couldn't handle it (a little better form now maybe). I'm 6' and 193 lbs most Friday mornings, 197+ most Monday mornings. I know it's not good form to snap off a turn but I'm a hack and when I rush or need to hook one it's much easier with the 67 than the 69...and I'm more confident doing it. I've run Radar 'factory/stock' fin, wing settings and middle boot location forever per @brooks -- and don't think I'll change them unless he or a pro makes me. Plug: My 69 2017 Lithium is on Ski-it-again. Selling it so I stay closer to 190 lbs.
