Baller Garn Posted October 30, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 30, 2019 Apparently I had some water still in my heater that froze because when I used my boat last Saturday I had water leaking from the heater around my feet. So I guess I need to replace my heater core, correct? But what I don't understand is shouldn't my heater fan (blower) still work and blow out air? Because it didn't. Baller skihacker Posted October 30, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 30, 2019 Maybe water got into the fan motor and killed it? You'll have to take it apart and see.
Baller 2Valve Posted October 30, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 30, 2019 I know on my HeaterCraft core, the the fan assy. is bolted tight to the housing. I would think that if the entire core was frozen, airflow would be minmal.
Baller oldjeep Posted October 30, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 30, 2019 Depends on how the core failed. If it bulged where the fan was and contacted the blades then it would have kept fan from spinning until fuse blew. And to be that guy - that is why you ad antifreeze even when you think you got everything drained out.
