Buxrus
So found this in the attic. Still have box. Anyone know what this is or how much something like this could sell for.
Buxrus
Here’s another ski that was found.
Baller BlueSki Posted June 14, 2020 Baller Share Posted June 14, 2020 We have one and tried to ride it. It worked, but I am glad I was not the one on it when the plastic fin broke off due to the water pressure. I’m sad we didn’t get video. To answer your question, maybe $50. $40 if the buyer only has two 20s in their pocket. The Cut’n’Jump looks like it would be worth more.
Baller MichaelGoodman Posted June 14, 2020 Baller Share Posted June 14, 2020 I have one of those used to get up with that and another ski then drop the other ski the tow boat was a 12 foot aluminum boat with a 18 horse Johnson we would ski all day long behind it. Baller teammalibu Posted June 15, 2020 Baller Share Posted June 15, 2020 Rode it a bunch late 70s lots a fun still have it on the wall!
Baller_ Wish Posted June 15, 2020 Baller_ Share Posted June 15, 2020 Got one on display at my house. But wow ? is that mint. And with the box. Consider calling USA Water Ski and donating it to their museum...if they still have one.
Baller dbojan Posted June 15, 2020 Baller Share Posted June 15, 2020 My brother had a ski similar to the ski skat, we called it “the widow maker”
Baller dbski Posted June 15, 2020 Baller Share Posted June 15, 2020 My neighbor was cleaning his garage and this was on his dump pile. It's a "Super" ski scat, looks lethal to me!
Baller MDB1056 Posted June 15, 2020 Baller Share Posted June 15, 2020 Those are sought after boathouse decorations. We have a matching Cypress Gardens one also . Don't sell it - display it! I remember riding that thing. Couldn't see anything - only spray

Baller waterskicorey Posted June 16, 2020 Baller Share Posted June 16, 2020 @Buxrus are you interested in selling the ski skat? If so what would you like for it? Thanks
Buxrus
Thank you Corey. Appreciate the interest. I’m going to keep it and enjoy the memories.
Baller waterskicorey Posted June 16, 2020 Baller Share Posted June 16, 2020 @Buxrus thanks for getting back to me, I'd keep it to
Baller skibrain Posted June 16, 2020 Baller Share Posted June 16, 2020 I would like video of someone riding one. It’s about like a canoe paddle with a fin, right? Or a slightly-evolved version of @dchristman plank.
Baller dchristman Posted June 17, 2020 Baller Share Posted June 17, 2020 @skibrain I'll make you a video this weekend. The Ski Skat is a little tougher to get up on than a canoe paddle, but I can still do it. I'd like to get a hold of one of the larger ones like @dbski 's and try to run the course on it. Baller dchristman Posted June 18, 2020 Baller Share Posted June 18, 2020 Here you go @skibrain - a Ski Skat deepwater start and I even threw in a toehold for you.
Baller MitchellM Posted June 18, 2020 Baller Share Posted June 18, 2020 Thanks for posting that great video! The spray looks lethal.
Baller skibrain Posted June 18, 2020 Baller Share Posted June 18, 2020 @dchristman Perfect. Not much surface for a deepwater! Thanks so much. That’s a really pretty spot to ski.
Baller dchristman Posted June 22, 2020 Baller Share Posted June 22, 2020 @skibrain that's the Schuylkill River about 25 miles upstream of Philadelphia. Nice for trick practice mid-week when the jet skis and wakeboard boats aren't out but not great for slalom.
Baller dchristman Posted February 15, 2023 Baller Share Posted February 15, 2023 Winter crazies shopping. I plan to get through the course on one of these this year. It's going to be easy! These are like a Wide-Ride and a Big Daddy compared to my proto Denali 0.5. It'll be like cheating with a fin and bindings!
Baller Andre Posted February 16, 2023 Baller Share Posted February 16, 2023 Video. 1 My ski finish in 16.95 but my ass is out of tolerance!

Baller_ Bruce_Butterfield Posted February 16, 2023 Baller_ Share Posted February 16, 2023 @dchristmanthose are for back when getting on the water and playing around was fun. That's not allowed anymore. Unless of course you have a few adult beverages beforehand:) 2 If it was easy, they would call it Wakeboarding
Baller MDB1056 Posted February 16, 2023 Baller Share Posted February 16, 2023 Still have an original from back in the 70’s . Huge spray all around but don’t try to turn it . Just ride it . Then check the box - done that- and back on the wall
Baller_ Jody_Seal Posted February 16, 2023 Baller_ Share Posted February 16, 2023 if your successful you can be sure they will make a rule saying you can't use it!
Baller_ Jody_Seal Posted February 16, 2023 Baller_ Share Posted February 16, 2023 let me know i might mount this bad boy stick a jump fin on it and go slalom.
Baller dchristman Posted February 16, 2023 Baller Share Posted February 16, 2023 @Jody_Seal That would be the Hover Craft of Ski Skats!
Baller dchristman Posted August 5, 2023 Baller Share Posted August 5, 2023 First attempts at the course on the Skat (the middle one in picture above). I'm not sure I have it set up right. I measure the front binding at 17-3/8. Fin is 7.562L x 4.187D and .750 dft. Anybody have other settings I can try?
Baller_ Wish Posted August 5, 2023 Baller_ Share Posted August 5, 2023 WOW.. I thought u were just gonna ride it free skiing. Bravo 👏. I have one on my wall. And that’s where it’s stayn 😬 2

Baller thager Posted August 7, 2023 Baller Share Posted August 7, 2023 Skis just like a Denali!
Baller dchristman Posted August 7, 2023 Baller Share Posted August 7, 2023 I don't know, @thager , I can run 43 on the Denali and I didn't get past 3@15 on the SSS yet. @BlueSki It's certainly a challenge, but I think the mini-course might be more fun than the mini-ski.
