Baller davemac Posted July 12, 2020 Baller Share Posted July 12, 2020 a friend asked my help to get a (Senate) ski package for their son. His foot is a 10-11. Wondering which size boot would be better choice? The Standard is 7-11 and XL is 10-14. Likely to mount with a RTP to a 69" Graphite Senate. Thanks. @brooks ? Baller Justin_C Posted July 12, 2020 Baller Share Posted July 12, 2020 I'm a 10.5 shoe size and had one of the original Vector boots. I got the standard and it worked fine. Personally I'd tend towards a tighter fit than a looser fit but that's just me. I think you'd be fine with the standard unless his feet are on the wide or tall side. You might be able to find a good price on a clearance one somewhere though where you'd be more likely to come across a leftover XL. Good to have options I guess! Baller_ Rednucleus Posted July 12, 2020 Baller_ Share Posted July 12, 2020 How old is he; is his foot likely to grow more soon?
Baller Minelickskier Posted July 12, 2020 Baller Share Posted July 12, 2020 I have had many sets of vectors and my foot is 10.5 and the standard is perfect for me
Baller Ski_Dad Posted July 12, 2020 Baller Share Posted July 12, 2020 i use that binding - i'm size 11 foot and it's wide and use the 10-14. It's easier to get on and you can tighten it up. i tend to run my top laces pretty loose cause I want come out if i fall.
Baller pregom Posted July 12, 2020 Baller Share Posted July 12, 2020 I'm a size 10.5-11 and I had a Standard Vector that didn't last long. It was not easy to put on, always felt tight until my foot was in. My toes were a couple of millimeters over the front of the foot platform. This winter I had the opportunity to try a Standard size and an XL side by side. The XL felt much better. If you can, you too should try them both, but if you have to choose, I would go with XL. Baller davemac Posted July 12, 2020 Author Baller Share Posted July 12, 2020 Thx for feedback. The kid's feet are done growing. Sounds like either size would work. I'll ask his mom if closer to a 10 or 11, and go from there. Thx again.
Lobonator
I'm a 10.5 and find the standard totally fine. I don't think I'd be able to get as good a fit tightening down the XL. Also to note, the radar dry entry neoprene is ridiculously easy to get into on the dock.
lakeside7455
The standard fits me very well with a size 9 foot. I love the Radar Vector boots with aluminum plates, super comfy, no soaps required anymore, come out in a hard fall, and still get good course performance out of them. I use them on a Connelly GTR.
