It is less annoying than having to scroll all the way down to the "leave a comment" box and scroll back up the number of new posts since the last time you visited the thread. I personally don't mind it at the top, but if people are concerned about scrolling, maybe just an alert of the video, and a link to YouTube? For me it seems to have significantly slowed the loading of the webpage not only the first time but every time I return to the forum main page. Has it driven more viewing of the DFC @Horton? If so, I’m ok with that too. Again, relative and timely, I’m good with it.
