Binding plate question

Performance not really. Might be slightly heavier than two plates depending on if it is metal or graphite. Sequence Plate does allow smaller binding movements than standard plates and is convenient except for measuring front binding location until you figure out a system to shortcut removing the rear binding.

As @thager said aluminum is heavier, carbon graphite is lighter than two separate aluminum plates. You only use 8 screws and depending which ones you can have 1/2 hole movements. Also boots can be adjusted on the plate and can be twisted. Another thing is that washers used allows the plate to slide when ski is flexed. Measuring front binding location is a thing, but an idea is that when you have finalize the binding position on the plate, you can measure to fixed spot on the plate that is behind the rear boot and measure from there to the tail, then ad the two numbers...

The graphite one also has a micro adjusting type with a use of special washers with pins.

Performance gains... I don’t know... all of the above help to fine tune your ski. So theoretically there must be performance gains.
