Remember how the High Jump went through some technique changes ? ending with the Fosbury Flop. Could this be something new for the slalom event with some refinement.

If I were to give Joel one pointer, I’d suggest he focus on keeping his ski on edge behind the boat. He seems to be getting airborne. I feel that if Joel can correct this one issue, he’ll have a greater chance of success in this sport. But then, maybe that’s how they’re taught on his home planet.

If I had one pointer for Joel, it would be to release the handle at six ball with the left hand, not the right, and not to drag the right hand in the water. At -39. In a tournament. Last weekend.
