Baller wilecoyote Posted April 2, 2022 Baller Share Posted April 2, 2022 Agreed! Any idea what speed that might have been? Line length?
Baller_ swbca Posted April 2, 2022 Baller_ Share Posted April 2, 2022 Remember how the High Jump went through some technique changes ? ending with the Fosbury Flop. Could this be something new for the slalom event with some refinement.
Baller DavidN Posted April 2, 2022 Baller Share Posted April 2, 2022 Thomas Asher did that already in 2019
Baller kc Posted April 3, 2022 Baller Share Posted April 3, 2022 If I were to give Joel one pointer, I’d suggest he focus on keeping his ski on edge behind the boat. He seems to be getting airborne. I feel that if Joel can correct this one issue, he’ll have a greater chance of success in this sport. But then, maybe that’s how they’re taught on his home planet. Baller_ lpskier Posted April 22, 2022 Baller_ Share Posted April 22, 2022 If I had one pointer for Joel, it would be to release the handle at six ball with the left hand, not the right, and not to drag the right hand in the water. At -39. In a tournament. Last weekend. Lpskier
Baller_ Wish Posted April 22, 2022 Baller_ Share Posted April 22, 2022 That’s kinda his signature move. Is there any rule on that? Curious. I get it’s a safety thing and “DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!”
Baller_ Bruce_Butterfield Posted April 23, 2022 Baller_ Share Posted April 23, 2022 @lpskier you’re no fun! That’s a cool hot dog trick if you can get away with it. I have seen a few skiers try that and get bit in the ass :o If it was easy, they would call it Wakeboarding
Baller_ lpskier Posted April 23, 2022 Baller_ Share Posted April 23, 2022 Every time I try that move I get slack. Joel made it look ridiculously easy. Lpskier
