pkfive
Just recently moved to Denver last Fall, and am looking for people to ski with. I'm willing to travel, pay for gas, drive the boat, whatever! Really just looking to get on the water, ski, and meet good people. I'm having trouble finding much information online. Rocky Mountain Ski & Wake in Lakewood looks like a good option, but a 15 min set runs for $70. Maybe I'm way off here, but that feels kind of steep. Other than that, I tried to look into Laku Landing (whose website looks like its discontinued) and Cottonwood but not having much luck so far. Baller FSSPCat Posted May 10, 2022 Baller Share Posted May 10, 2022 I’m sorry, I can’t help as I’m not near you, but $70/set? That seems more than a little steep.
Baller Mastercrafter Posted May 10, 2022 Baller Share Posted May 10, 2022 70 with coaching, or just for a ski ride? Some places have both options
Baller Drago Posted May 11, 2022 Baller Share Posted May 11, 2022 @pkfive Rocky Mountain @ Soda Lake is a public, drop in ski school. You can reserve your time. You can also buy bundles of sets to get the price down. There are ( or were last summer) quite a few young successful tournament skiers there that have great coaching skills and can help you improve. Cottonwood and Laku are private tournament sites that aren't set up for a drop-in type situation. If you get active in tournament skiing in Colorado, you'll meet most of the members. Baller ALPJr Posted May 11, 2022 Baller Share Posted May 11, 2022 The Rocky Mountain site looks good. The twenty five and fifty set packages seem reasonable considering the cost of operations.

pkfive
Thanks for the replies everyone. @Drago @ALPJr Agreed, Rocky Mountain looks very legit and is definitely an operation. I'll have to try it out and then see if it makes sense to buy a bundle. No one ever said waterskiing was cheap! @Ronny61 I'll shoot you a text- sounds like a fun time. Always down to get on the water before the work day!
