Baller_ Rednucleus Posted March 9, 2023 Baller_ Share Posted March 9, 2023 I had my 1st formal strength/flexibility training yesterday after left (rear leg) THR Jan 3rd, so 9 wks post op. Was back at work in my vet clinic after 13 days and done with formal PT visits after 4 weeks. Very comfortable, pretty much pain free by 3 wks post op, but after yesterday I can see I have no business being on a ski yet!! Really looking forward to twice a week training plus what I can do at home/work. Seeing my new C85 patiently waiting for me helps me work harder! PRO TIP: if your hip hurts and you need a replacement, get it done, don't be a dork like me and put it off for another year. Can't wait to be skiing pain free by June.
Baller OldGuysRule Posted March 10, 2023 Baller Share Posted March 10, 2023 Being a member of the "geriatric generation skiers," I have several friends skiing with replaced hips with no issues at all! Perhaps a few more months will help.....Keep Skiing! Good Luck
