Baller bojans Posted February 10, 2023 Baller Report Posted February 10, 2023 We recently pulled the trans out of our 2009 196 due to a fluid leak. While the trans is out we planned to freshen it up with new clutch plates. Nautique parts has indicated there are no service parts available for this transmission and that our only option it to replace the whole unit ($2,900). Does anyone know of any other place to get parts for the trans? We could probably just get away with a seal and gasket set as the unit has been working fine. @Jody_Seal?
Baller_ Jody_Seal Posted February 10, 2023 Baller_ Report Posted February 10, 2023 your better off buying the new series 80 and get back to skiing. series 40 parts are obsolete. Vince at ski-dim might have that seal though. 1
Gold Member markn Posted February 10, 2023 Gold Member Report Posted February 10, 2023 Had an issue with the tranny on our 2004 196. Same situation...no parts. Had a new series 80 installed and have never looked back.
Baller bojans Posted February 10, 2023 Author Baller Report Posted February 10, 2023 Thanks Guys. Skidim did have the seals and gaskets. I was actually able to find the steels and frictions from a guy that posted about having some inventory years ago on Nautique Fans. Hopefully this refresh gets us another 1,500 hours.
