Baller kmenard Posted April 12, 2023 Baller Share Posted April 12, 2023 This seems off topic enough from the other boat topics right now. I got to get a pull from a 23 Prostar for the Swaterski fundraiser and what an absolutely gorgeous boat. We got to talking and wondering what percentage of new Prostars and Nautiques ever see public water from the first owner. My guess was 20%. Baller UWSkier Posted April 12, 2023 Baller Share Posted April 12, 2023 I'd guess closer to 40% for the ProStar, 10% for the Nautique. I know of a couple public water original owner ProStars. I don't know a of a single stealth pug.
Administrators Horton Posted April 12, 2023 Administrators Share Posted April 12, 2023 I think you'd be surprised how many ski boats end up on public water eventually. you talk to some of the promo guys who they sell their boats and a lot of them are not on private lakes. humorously they may end up parked in a storage facility most of the time so maybe you don't see them on public water either 🤦♂️ 1 Goode ★ HO Syndicate ★ KD Skis ★ MasterCraft ★ PerfSki Radar ★ Reflex ★ S Lines ★ Stokes ★ Baller Video Coaching System Drop a dime in the can
Baller jjackkrash Posted April 12, 2023 Baller Share Posted April 12, 2023 I run my SN on public water. Not all the time, but a good chunk of the time.
Baller tjs1295 Posted April 13, 2023 Baller Share Posted April 13, 2023 There are at lest two of the newest Ski Nautiques sitting on lifts on the public chain of lakes I'm on. Both from last summer. Only one modern ProStar that I'm aware of, and it's at least 4-5 years old.
Baller jpattigr Posted April 13, 2023 Baller Share Posted April 13, 2023 My Lake (river) is ski boat country and at least as many ski boats as wake Barges, Pontoons are the majority however. But boats are mostly older models with some later model 200's mixed in, No new Prostars or new SN's yet.
Baller ironhorse Posted April 13, 2023 Baller Share Posted April 13, 2023 My dealer was shocked when I ordered my prostar for public water use. He said he hasn't sold a prostar outside of a club in years.
Baller_ mike_mapple Posted April 13, 2023 Baller_ Share Posted April 13, 2023 Ski Nautique, not many, but Nautique in general tons, with all the wakeboard boats for sure. 1 Performance Ski and Surf Mike@perfski.com 👾
Baller kmenard Posted April 13, 2023 Author Baller Share Posted April 13, 2023 That is kind of why I said first owner...I figure at some point every ski boat winds up on a public lake...but that wasn't what it was purchased for.
Baller jjackkrash Posted April 13, 2023 Baller Share Posted April 13, 2023 I am first owner, 2021 SN.
Baller chrislandy Posted April 14, 2023 Baller Share Posted April 14, 2023 It seems standard practice over here in the UK, I'd estimate 90+% of new boat sales are to clubs, then on the market the next year or two with 1500hrs for private sale. Also MC /SN / Malibu are very regional for such a small country in area with SN covering most of the south, MC the North & north west and Malibu the midlands and north east
