Ocean Side Ski Site

Looks like such a fun experience to ski once in a river leading into the ocean. If there was a launch ramp , I would give it a go. Any sites like this?

Grew up skiing in the bays, coves, rivers and creeks in the Great Egg Harbor Estuary in southern New Jersey. Skied through the inlets and out in the ocean a few times too.

The great lakes have a few options for this too.

Long Beach Ca used to allow skiing in the L.A. river and San Gabriel which both fed into the harbor. A portable course was used in both. Thank you Jerry Arnett. There is a power plant on the San Gabriel , so the outlet water from that warmed the channel up. Hence the name , the warm water channel. Both were shut down to boat traffic in the 90’s. Flat water , but dirty as hell , especially after the rain.

I waterskied a couple laps around Marine Stadium in Long Beach 1983 or 84.  Mostly to tick the box that I HAD waterskied in SCal.
