Baller MatadorMaine Posted September 29, 2023 Baller Posted September 29, 2023 Hit the button when gate hits GPS sensor (puck) or at the pylon. Thanks.
Baller_ MISkier Posted September 29, 2023 Baller_ Posted September 29, 2023 Puck for slalom course. Pylon for jump course. 2 The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.
Baller MatadorMaine Posted September 29, 2023 Author Baller Posted September 29, 2023 Yes! That's what my research says...but seemed odd to me that it was different for jump/slalom.
Baller_ Broussard Posted September 29, 2023 Baller_ Posted September 29, 2023 @MISkier Is correct - puck for slalom, pylon for jump. 1 .
Baller LeonL Posted September 30, 2023 Baller Posted September 30, 2023 Don't know why, it's just the way they set it up.
Baller ProStah_Skiah Posted October 2, 2023 Baller Posted October 2, 2023 Mapping the course with the puck at the gates maintains a symmetric relationship of the pylon (skier) to the course in both directions. If the course were mapped at the pylon in one direction, then the pylon would be offset 2x the distance between the puck and pylon out of the course entering from the other direction. I don't know much about jump, but since it is run in one direction, it can be mapped at the pylon.
