  1. Thank you guys! Michela and I had a blast last week and look forward to keep doing these fun clinics! A major shoutout to all participants and @mmadore21 for the fantastic Jolly Clinic tumblers Click here if you want to see some cool moments of the week :)
  2. just an FYI on my current settings on the 67 Works 01: 29 7/8 6.965 2.456 (l) / 2.468 (r) .785 8
  3. Anne's warmup routine should be in the Hall Of Fame as a video, akin to the art visuals you see on TV in some museums.
  4. I'm assuming you are on a 67" 01. These are my favorite numbers atm: 29 7/8, 6.960, 2.458, .79, 8° I followed the same path as you by going forward with dft and landed on .79 with good success.
  5. @Deanoski I have been riding both for a few months. Anything I can help with?
  6. We have it in Italian: ultimo: last penultimo: one before last
  7. @LOTW Thank you so much! I truly loved doing this and can't think of a better way than finishing on a high ;)
  8. Welcome to the one before last episode of The Water Ski Podcast. In this episode I announce the termination of this long standing project after EP100, which is scheduled to be released on May 18th, 2023. This episode was recorded in February and it will feature Fedele Luzzeri, my dad. Given that dad does not speak English, we recorded video and it will be subtitled. Audio and video will be also published on podcast, but some platform may not show the video. Therefore, the easiest way to watch this final episode is through the YouTube channel. I'd suggest to subscribe in order to receive the notifications of when the episode will premiere. As I said in the episode, this was a great experience. Thank you to all the listeners, guests, supporters, sponsors, and everyone whom I got to meet and talk to thanks to TWSP. Ski Hard! Luzz
  9. Ballers, I am happy to announce that we completely filled out the Jolly Clinic for June 5-10! Should you be interested in joining us for September 18-23, there are plenty of spots left for both skiers and non-skiing guests.
  10. Bummer. I skied the NCWSA Nationals there in 2008 and had a blast!
  11. @Hortonany chance this could be pinned?
  12. This was the inspiration behind the Bib Ceremony we do on Friday evening at the San Gervasio Pro Am. Although as @Dragosaid the initial seeding is based off some ranking (Waterski Pro Tour in our case), it is a chance for amateurs and pros to hang out and interact during a nice dinner. As the snow skiers said in the video, it is a good opportunity for fans and people in the sport to interact! On a side note, cool to see Erin Mielzynski in that video :)
  13. Ballers, A little bit of an update. We currently have two spots left for the June clinic (one skier and one non-skier), whereas the September clinic is wide open! As always, feel free to reach out if you have any questions
  14. @alanc the Omega Max makes sense as it somewhat belongs to the same family of skis as the Senate. What speed does your son ski at? Weight?
  15. Good Job ROBOT! Looks like in this new forum you can embed players! Good work!
  16. I still have all of mine (5), including a 69" LTD your dad signed for mine. That was probably the only ski model my dad and I were on at the same time.
  17. Welcome back to The Water Ski Podcast for Episode 99! This is the second part of Matteo's interview with Andrea "Bubu" Alessi! Bubu is a former Pro water skier from Italy, the 1993 World Jump Champion, and former coach of the Italian National Team. He is widely regarded as the most influential water skier in the history of the sport in Italy, due to his successes and contribution to the development of the sport. In this second part, Matteo and Bubu discuss the transition from skier to coach, including the importance and challenges of these identity changes. The two proceeded to explore Bubu's years sailing around the world, the birth of his daughter Mia, the challenges of being a good coach (including the mental side of skiing and coaching), and a bunch of other nuggets Enjoy! Episode 100 will be released as soon as it is ready :) _________________________ Matteo will soon be hosting an online class in sport psychology for waterski coaches and anyone who enjoys helping water skiers to improve. More details will be announced in upcoming weeks. 18. @BraceMakeryou already see the type of rationale we have been going through… @jcwaterskiparadiseI'm still waiting for Wahoo Docks to send me an estimate, which is turning out to be a lengthy process given that we are based in Italy. We are seriously considering rock but it's a very steep price.
  19. @Andre this is the first year we offer two options, as some willing guests couldn't make it in June. Both dates are fine as skiing quality is still high (warm, no wind) and tourist season not at its busiest. The clinic price includes everything, so skiing, lodging, meals, happy hours, touristic activities (bike rides, museums, winery tour, etc), and pickup/dropoff from airports and train stations. I will send you a PDF with details via pm. @Youghskier thank you so much for the kind words. Keep skiing hard and do some more tournaments!
  20. Ballers, The dates for the 2023 Jolly Clinics are June 5-10 and September 18-23. As a reminder, these are fun weeks combining skiing in the morning with yours truly and tourism in Northern Italy in the afternoon. We have happily hosted a few ballers over the years and it has personally become a time to look forward to for my sister Michela and I. This year we made a few changes compared to past editions. To begin with, the clinic is now 6 days long instead of 5. We made this decision in order to take a day off skiing (Thursdays) to fully explore one destination, and a day off sightseeing (Wednesday) to spend a chill day of skiing at the lake. The second change is that we swapped Mantova with Bergamo. Although Mantova is gorgeous and a must see gem, so is Bergamo. Further, Bergamo and Brescia are the 2023 Capitals of Culture, which means both cities will be filled with events to partake in! All in all, it's a good fun week of skiing, tourism, happy hours, and fine dinners. Feel free to ask any questions you may have below or in private :)
  21. @Horton crazy that the Jr Podium was higher than Open at Jacks in 2021
  22. @Garn thank you so much! Dave is a fantastic human being. We are very lucky that he chose the water ski industry over rockets
  23. @morfoot thank you so much for your kind words. I am always happy to see that the podcast is resonating with many skiers. This is all very encouraging and fun
