  1. Quicksilver AG47, so far so good
  2. Superfreaks for sure, I have a pair of Quiksilver that are also good. Recently update from older Oneil shorts but still keep them in the bag as they were great too.
  3. I got on mine last night after a set on my green. Really crappy water with wind and boat rollers. A little skittish on the turn in but way early for every ball. I thought the green was forgiving, this things even better! I matched my summers PB the first time on it and there's more for sure. I feel that you have to be real aggressive and flog the thing, it just eats up crappy water too. Great ski! I can't wait to get more time on it and try it in good water but unfortunately that's rare where we have our course and the season is quickly coming to an end here. Like my STRADA, Green VAPOR and this one I am glad I made the purchase. Get one under you NOW! I am not too excited about the graphics and wish it had a new name as it is a totally new ski if you put them side by side. Mine does not have the vents either, maybe too new?
  4. My question also, how does it affect the trailer paint or galvanized coating? Rubber? Is it available in Canada and if so where?
  5. I never met "THE MAN" but he has been mine and our small ski groups hero since forever. We are of same age and out there flailing but his inspiring, non stop passion has kept us and many more going. so many great posts and stories. Wish I had met and skied with "THE MAN"!!!
  6. I like the high boot so going with that. Ya, will try it and see. Hopefully it all works out.
  7. I have been with the Reflex front and Vapor rear for the last few years, green Vapor, 66'. I am mounting a Reflex rear next week. Anyone try this combo? Tips? I am sceptical as I am a 34mph skier making it into 32 off but I am only 5' 4", 140lbs. Will my feet be too far apart?
  8. THANKS! I will now enter the world of fin setting. Does this mean I can blame all my weak sets on settings?
  9. I finally think I have this all figured and have enough sets in this year to start playing with my fin set up. Now the confusion, the #'s on the Radar site, are they current and do they work for my green Vapor or are they specific to the blue? No phone # on the Radar site so I don't know how to contact them. Perf ski is in a different time zone so I'm having trouble contacting them. Does anyone have the latest fin setting #'s? Are they the same for green and blue?
  10. I have a '98 Moomba Boomerang that has a sponge rubber coating on the platform. The boat is always in the water and the platform is so slippery from algae that someone is going to get hurt. Any tips on cleaning this off and possibly keeping it off? Thanks.
  11. Great boat, I've had mine for 5 yrs. now. All the positive comment are true. If it's too rough out for that boat, it's to rough to be skiing.
  12. Reflex front and Vapor rear, I got it half solved!
  13. I use the VAPOR liner in my REFLEX boot, may I didn't clarify that. When I bought it, they sent me a size too big so I used my STRADA liner at the time. Wore out the STRADA and moved on to VAPOR.
  14. I use the VAPOR liner, takes a while to break in but....
  15. MIKE at Shuswap, he da man! I've purchased my last 2 ski's from him plus all gear, very knowledgable and helpful when you need advice or returns or anything really. He also has the stuff there and not just a picture. Bought the ski before those from Seth at H2O and same as above, problem is the US dollar and I haven't been to OZ since. BTW, I live in Ontario.
  16. Right, wing gauge. I guess that I am struggling with this thing in that I don't know how to position the rectangular jig on the wing, it kinda just flops around loosely and I am obviously missing something. Pics on the D3 site are not clear enough to see what's going on. The 9 fits in and so does the 7 so....
  17. As my season is long over, I am looking at playing with my fin and wing on my 66" VAPOR. I know this is not the time to do this but I would like to figure out how this all works before next season. I see the #'s on the RADAR site and I have the D3 gauge but I really don't know how it works. Are the #'s on the site current? Will this gauge work on the VAPOR? Pics? THANKS!
  18. When I ordered my Reflex they accidentally sent me one size too big so I tried it with my Strada liner and threw that thin sock that it came with in the garbage. This combo has been great for me! I did wear the heal a bit but it is now mounted on my Vapor with a new Vapor liner ready to go for next season. I used the Strada rear binding and have the Vapor rear on my VAP now but I haven't skied with this combo yet but should be very similar to the Strada rear I had on my VAP. Liners and bindings came kinda late in Canada.
  19. I sleep with my VAPOR! Keeps me nice and warm through the cold winter months.
  20. Interesting! I am 140lbs. 5'4" came off a 66" Strada and now on 66" Vapor as recommended by both Rini & J. Mac. They both said I should be fine and not go with the 65"
  21. MATTP, very back of the Reflex hard shell, there is a little bit if a bulge there, to the tail. I also use Strada liners no the cheap sock that the Reflex came with. Am I too far forward or???
  22. I am on a 66" @ 34mph. Reflex front and Strada rear. I was told to mount the front boot 29" from the tail but can only get it 29 1/2", maybe that's far enough ahead? The ski is great! I am right were I was with my Strada first pass. Seems like you can screw up a turn so bad that you think you are done but hold on and it will take you to the next ball.
