  1. That is awesome, thanks! I didn't realize Performance Ski carried Camaro. I am going to give them a call today.
  2. My Camaro BlackTec from 2015 is starting to show it age in the seams. I'd like to try and get another before the weather turns too much, but I cannot seam to find Robby's shop anymore? www.robbysskishop.com doesn't exist, and looking at my order email from 2015 doesn't leave any contact information. Google isn't turning up much either. Does anyone know if she is still around, or another suitable place to buy Camaro gear?
  3. One of my ski partners has an 07 that was flashed for ZO and his hour meter is stuck at 999.9 as well with the gateway system. I am sure my 07 with ZO will have the same issue here in 100 hours...
  4. TSC1 Bubble Butt Ski Nautique Still my favorite boat for many reasons. If ZO didn't exist I wouldn't have a newer boat.
  5. 1. Teams that share a cumulative score, but also track individual skier scores 2. Video of each team members passes 3. Self judging, honor system 4. Have a both handicap scoring and non-handicap scoring for both team and individual 5. Scores are averaged over a time period (maybe 2-3 weeks), the more your team skis the more likely they can raise there average score, but doesn't eliminate a competitor who doesn't have a flexible schedule to ski 6 times. It has to all be about fun and time on the water skiing. Encouraging your buddies, hearing the observers cheering on the skier while filming, seeing people in 2022 boats skiing along side people in 1992 boats. Seeing the average joes running their public water course. I personally love the video aspect. Seeing a 'rival' team post up a video of their sets would amp me up to go out and ski more and help out my team. Almost like the give-go of tournaments with instant virtual feedback.
  6. Then be forth coming and honest if there is nothing to hide? If you said that in your ad, as a buyer, I might continue to read. If someone just said it is a new motor without any details I assume it was because of neglect. If you were looking at a car with 75,000 miles and it had a new engine put in, wouldn't you want to know why?
  7. @BraceMaker I agree. I almost never see a reason why it has a brand new motor too. That just leaves questions in my mind, usually not positive ones.
  8. Wind generally isn't the issue for me. It is the other boaters that create waves/rollers. I can ski in wind, I cannot ski in rollers.
  9. This is absolutely awesome! This is exactly what this sport needs more of.
  10. Wade Cox use to come here, but that hasn't happened in years. Apparently insurance costs got out of hand. I know there are a number of us (5+) out in the west metro that would go in on getting a coach here for a day or two if someone wants to get a group together. There are a crazy number of skiers out in the west metro, I know of 4 courses on public lakes and 3 more on private lakes and a man-made site. Lots going on 30-45m west of downtown. @Zaneh2oski what is the best way for use to contact you for coaching?
  11. Unfortunately it is iOS only too, no Android or desktop version available.
  12. While I understand the point of making it more compelling to the majority of viewers, I am surprised by the number of people here that are only interested in 38 and shorter passes. I really enjoy watching both men and women run 28, 32, and 35, mostly because as someone working on 35 I learn a ton. Frankly I do the exact opposite of most of you, I watch the first 2-3 passes and skip the rest when I am watching the recorded webcast. I might watch the finals all the way through, but for the first round or two I enjoy watching it as a teaching tool for myself.
  13. I'd set it up based on primary use. My boat is almost exclusively used in the course, the only time it's not pulling a skier is going to and from the course and boat launch. Thus I prefer a strong rudder load. If my boat was an open water family ski boat I'd prefer it setup much different. I agree, the strong rudder load could be dangerous for newer or less focused drivers.
  14. I am very curious to learn more about this from those that have lived it as well. I have a baller friend who recently moved to a home with deeded access to a private lake that he was told has a course on it. He chatted with a few of the skiers on the lake, but never got really into the details. It is now June and the course still isn't in and getting the skiers on the lake moving is proving to be a challenge. The location was considered due to it being private and having an established course. From what I can see as a 3rd party friend, the situation is less than ideal. I would sure hate to move to a lake with a course to only find out the course is never used and the 'skiers' on the lake are difficult to work with. Similarly, I would really struggle to move somewhere on the water before securing some type of course permit or something allowing a course in the future.
  15. I converted my trailer to electric over hydraulic after constantly dealing with crapy master cylinders and other brake crap. It's not cheap, but hot damn is it vastly superior in every single way. If you don't tow a lot in stop and go or a lot in general, just putting on quality brakes, calipers and a good master cylinder is probably the way to go. I did this half as an angry reaction to surge brakes and half as a fun project. Here is the wiring diagram I made and a quick picture of the trailer. If you want more information I can share the rest of my documentation from the project.
  16. Got the course put in 4/3, the earliest date for us. But have't been able to ski until 4/15 due to ski partners, snow, and COVID. I have been fortunate to get out 3 times since then, and boy is my body feeling it. Still a very early season for us in metro MN. Just wish I could have skied before Easter, that is always a fun record to break.
  17. @swc5150 Other than some gel coat fade and maybe a few skins, I cannot see much wrong. Maybe a little rough, but far from a project to me. Perfect boat for someone to do a ZO conversion. You can be into a ZO boat for under 15k. Pretty hard to beat. Everyone has a different requirement for how their boat must look, I get that. But as a pure slalom tug for going up and down the course I'd almost prefer this. No need for shinny gel coat and perfect seats. I still wish I had the space for a second boat. Something to teach new people in, install the course in the spring and not have to worry. The lake is much more fun when I am not telling people to remove shoes, towel off, watch the spray on the boom, bumping into the dock. I miss the days when my crew had a 'work' boat.
  18. Given our current boat market, here is a SCREAMING deal on TSC1 Ski Nautique. SIA59375 1997 Ski Nautique with 900 hours in decent condition for $8,500
  19. I am probably going to just end up drilling my existing bindings. I'll probably have to find a metal RTP to drill, but hopefully that can be had on SIA cheap. I might also just use 3M Dual Lock, I have some of that left over from a previous ski. The more I thought about an adapter plate the more I realized it would have to be pretty thick. The plate would either have to be threaded to receive screws from the traditional hole pattern boot, or the plate would have to be thick enough to countersink a bolt head in it and then you can use a nut on the top of the traditional hole pattern boot.
  20. I recently picked up a 1 year old HO FreeRide on SIA as a ski for a few of my friends that are learning to slalom. I got a killer deal on it, so I didn't do my research like I should have. Turns out it uses a different binding hole pattern, the HO direct connect system, the holes are all down the center of the ski. I bought the ski hoping to use some of my old Radar bindings and an older Radar RTP on it considering it is more of a budget loner ski. I searched around and cannot seem to find an adapter plate. All I can find is a plate for adapting HO direct connect bindings to to other skis, not adapting standard boots to HO's direct connect skis. Has anyone run across this before? I am thinking I may have made an expensive mistake. I am probably going to end up drilling out holes in my existing bindings and mounting them using the direct connect system if I cannot find an adapter plate. Buying new (or used) bindings would likely cost more than the ski is worth.
  21. Looks like your location limit is what is getting you. There are 10+ boats on SIA that fit your requirements, but they are all further away than 1,000 miles. A hotel room is cheap if you're saving thousands on a boat, but I also understand time is money and spending it driving can be difficult for some.
  22. While I am not a great 34 or 36 skier (getting into -35 on a great day), when I am skiing my best I find 36mph to be easier. I can generate more speed and width with less work. Either way, I find 36mph to be much more fun.
  23. I think the pricing would be cost prohibitive for me. For $75 I can get a set of coaching in Orlando. Great idea for getting the non-course skier's feet wet in the sport though. I would have liked to have an option like this to try out a course when I was an open water skier.
  24. Not much going on that isn't a bit of a drive. I lived there for work for a little over a year. I think WestEnd Slalom would be the closest at about an hour.
