  1. Hi all. Went out for a quick winter set today and noticed that my binding had broken. The ski and bindings are not even 6months old. They havn't done much work either, maybe 6 sets a week max. I don't do them up tight either. Anyone else had this problem?
  2. At a malibu tournament here in aus we had 5.7 response and a 6.0 response. I run b2 and had no issue behind the 5.7 but everytime I skiied behind the 6.0 I was a full pass down, it was like being pulled by a frieght train.
  3. I have the wake edition and use simple slalom. I do not like it all in the course but open water it's fine. I havnt tried rpm mode in the course but it might be better. When I pull out and go through my gates it speeds up to 60-61kph, it then slows down and sometimes speeds back up. I havnt mapped a course and I won't bother as I'll up grade to 3 event. The pull also feels really soft. I thought The wake edition would keep me happy but no such luck.
  4. A mate of mine tried both. Ended up with the HO. His pb on his old radar was 1@46kph /15m off and he struggled to run it. After a few weeks he ran 2@52kph 15m off. I had last years CX and found it to be a great ski in open water and the course.
  5. We have had these in Australia for a few years now. As previously said it's basically just an lx with walk through bow. Nice boat only thing I don't like is the observers seat is really short and with 3 in the boat it's a tight fit. You can get a dickie seat that slids in next to it but it blocks off the walk through.
  6. I didn't want to start another zbox thread so I'll just add to this one. I currently have pp star gazer wake edition which I use in slalom mode. I've been skiing at a local club behind boats with zo and I love it. I'm looking to upgrade to three event with a z box. I free ski a lot more then I do in a course so my question is will z box work when free skiing or does it have to be set up as a course for it to work?? Thanks Ben
  7. I just brought a d3 quest 45 without trying one.... Never even tried any kind of d3. I done alot of research and after 3 sets I love it! I did once buy a ho nos without trying or asking questions. It turned out to be a pile of crap!
  8. PP said that you don't need to need a capture you just set and forget. I'd say the manual is from an old version. I'm going to upgrade the software to 3 event and add a z box.
  9. Hey! In my boat I recently installed PP star gazer wake edition. I'm hardly ever on a course but I always run it in slalom mode when free skiing. in the user manual it says you can preform a capture of the speed and rpm your doing and add or minus rpm so it gives you a more consistant pull. Now in the bottom left corner it should say "capture" once your up to speed but mine doesn't. It just comes up with 00.00. I played around with it for ages today and didn't get anywhere. Anyone else have this problem??
  10. I just got pp star gazer in my boat. I only used it once in a course and in slalom mode but it worked great. I've mainly been free ski skiing but still run slalom mode when doing it. Works fine for me, didn't notice any difference from the course to open water but I'm not a very good skiier. I tried rpm mode but it seemed to hard to get exact speed I wanted.
  11. Well that's made the decision easy. I thought the cox felt slow through the course compared to my old ho nos but it's more likely that it's me not the ski. I doubt I'll ever get into the 39s.
  12. Hi all. I'm currently skiing on a HO superlite x. I mostly do open water skiing and the superlite is great for that. I get onto a course maybe once a week if I'm lucky. I have the oppertunity to buy a cheap A2 and I'm thinking of using the A2 for the course and have the superlite setup for open water. Is this a good idea or am I better off just sticking with what I have? I'm not sure if it's going to be to hard to be able to adjust between the two. Thanks Ben
  13. Thought I'd dig up an old thread instead of starting a new one. I have the above ski (2013 cx sl- red colored tip with some white then a black tail) and was just looking at the factory fin settings on the ho website for the latest 2014 cx sl and they are the same as what was listed in the first post. Does anyone know what the go there is? I thought there would be some change between the two models. Thanks
