  1. I have heard everyone rave about the older MC's early 90's up to 97, and it seems like a lot of people like the new prostar. However I haven't heard or read much about the MC 197. Whats the pros/cons?
  2. selling my tug, ALL COMPOSITE, NO WOOD I have a 1992 Supra Comp Ts6m inboard ski boat with wake board tower. This is a classic ski boat with one of the best ski wakes you can get. Want to try wake boarding, fill up the ballast bags and get beginner to intermediate level wakes. Kicker HLCD tower speakers, Kicker interior speakers, New Kenwood stereo and transom remote, New dash, new carpet, carb rebuilt last summer, capacitance type fuel sender, 4 transom underwater LED's, new LED trailer lights, runway lighting. Teak trim. Can be seen on ski-it-again or chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/boa/5135465064.html
  3. Ok Last year was my first time back skiing in several years and I figured out a bigger ski was needed, battled tennis elbow most of last season and thought thats why I was having a hard time getting up consistently. I could get up about 75% of the time. Once I was up I was doing fine. This year I have been out only once but was unable to to hold on and stand up. I have Radar Vice gloves to help hold on, I am skiing a 69" Radar Theory double boot. Would switching to a RTP make it easier to get up? I haven't skied a RTP since the 2nd year I could slalom. Getting frustrated!!!!
  4. about 20 yrs ago both summers between my Freshman and Sophomore years in collage I cracked my ribs on the boat wake. I had one of those death grips on the handle and was determined to pull it out leaning enough I caught the wake with my body. I still think I could of made it.
  5. I have a 92 Comp, and it is a GREAT ski boat! The ski wake is as good if not better than any early 90's boat. My buddy has a 88 and there is quiet a difference. That comp in the add is a very nice looking boat. For what you are looking for it is a excellent choice. The 351W is a strong engine and yes curved windshield is all composite. The only wood in that boat is motor box base, and a couple side panels up by drovers knees.

If you are on a public lake chances are you will dip the nose a few times. IMO the comp has the best lines of that era. 5 people in the boat gets a little cramped, wakeboarding is ok with 800 -1200 lbs of ballast you will just have to make sure to stop and wait for the wake to pass you before turning. If you have any more questions feel free to send me a PM or check out the forum supraboats.com/bbs/forum.php there is a ridiculous amount of knowledge there.

  6. Thats what we were disusing at work..... However I thought you had to notify the airport when flying those large models. I guess it will all depend on i something happens, since the FAA fined the guy $10000 for reckless operation. Its funny how the FAA likes to interrupt their own rules differently to suit their needs.
