  1. What about tethering the camera to the binding? When I use mine for snow skiing I use nylon cord tied around the hinge rod on the camera to a vent in my helmet. Only possible issue would be making sure the string is down and out of the camera view.
  2. @MS‌ I called up Sportube because I had a question about returning one because I got the wrong size, and I ended up pre-ordering the new Sportube 3 special edition. It should arrive in September.
  3. The problem at the public lake I ski at is the jet skis. I have no problem with people wanting to ride a jetski, but a couple weeks ago I was driving down the lake going 40 when a kid on a jetski cut me off probably 30 yards in front of me. If he would have misjudged that or I hadn't slowed down fast enough, that could have been a potentially bad situation. Also, if you're on public waters, don't drive down the middle of the lake. Nothing messes up the flow of boats more that one boat driving down the middle, especially since the lake isn't that wide anyways (it's an oxbow lake from the MO river).
  4. @Deke Did the airline replace it for you?
  5. @horton have you ever considered using competition swim goggles instead of just the glasses? They would be watertight that way and you can get bungee cords to tighten them even tighter...
  6. @oldjeep Mine are 178, I'm just not sure if I would ever get skis longer that 183. I bought my skis after last season, so I guess I won't have to cross that bridge for a while.
  7. @6balls but then it wouldn't be adjustable. I need one for my snow and water skis, currently my snow skis are 168cm so they will fit in the Sportube 3, but if I ever want longer snow skis I will need the 2. I'm going to call Sportube today and recommend a Sportube 4.
  8. Thanks everyone. I wish they made one that was as long as the Sportube 2 but as wide as the 3.
  9. Which Sportube do you all use? I ordered a Sportube 2 and it wouldn't fit my Strada with Vapor bindings. Does the Sportube 3 fit a ski with hardshell bindings? Wayfair.com has free return shipping so no big deal if I need to exchange it.
  10. Everyone says Eagle, but specifically which Eagle vest?
  11. @horton Or you could make a trip to Nebraska to see what it's like living in a state with nothing but corn.
  12. @eleeski‌ HA! The ski is mine. Maybe I can get @horton to sign it to increase value tenfold.
  13. Is it something that will affect the ski?
  14. Here ya go. I had to confirm my email before would let me attach a picture
  15. How do I attach a pic from my IPhone camera roll? It asks for a URL
  16. Today I noticed a small nick on the side of my Strada. It's just a little nick in the carbon fiber about 2 millimeters across. Is this something to be concerned about or am I just being paranoid?
  17. What do you guys think about Swiss? I am looking at going there over Christmas..
  18. How's the padding on the Oneill vests like the checkmate and the slasher for those who have them? @Nando‌ hope you can get back on the water soon!
  19. Look at Dubai, they just build islands in the ocean! If it's more land the developers want, send them offshore! Leave the lake alone!

    SOLD!

The blue on white looks great on the interior. Pretty sharp looking!

    Vest

I am thinking I'm going to get either the Oneill Slaher or the Checkmate, any opinions on those as to how much padding they provide?
  22. @wish I don't think the phone needs a data plan to use the GPS antenna, just like you don't have to pay for GPS service on a handheld unit.

    Vest

Is it all just personal preference over zip-up and pull over?
  24. bowty

    Vest

I was checking around the O'neill site, think the Slasher might be my next vest.

    Vest

Sorry for all the basic questions, I have just started slalom skiing and don't know much nor have much dedicated ski gear. I have always just used a plain vest from Walmart that is really bulky and annoying and it's time to upgrade. I like the design of the Radar Vapor vest, also some of the Oneill comp vests. Any other vests worth looking into? Coast Guard approved or not, doesn't matter at all to me.
