  1. Love the "can't fix stupid" in the background. I resemble that..haha
  2. @THAN_Bogan I'm sure you've had lots of compliments on your article. I'm going to use this as I am right at the spot where I can understand and realize the effects of getting into the proper position. Thanks for sharing, again!
  3. @ToddL I really like the way you described skiing posture for the gate setup. I think that will really help me as I try to get more consistent in the course.
  4. @usaski1 I'm not going to deny that's a possibility :D
  5. @AB thanks for the great pointers in the killer turns not needed thread, they helped. I ran my first full pass last night! -15 @ 28. This forum is terrific. Even if I wasn't skiing with guys that are way better than I am in the boat, I feel like I still ski with everyone here. I learn so much on this forum. Thanks everyone who contributes.
  6. It's probably all out the window as soon as I make my pullout.
  7. I'm heading out tonight to get a few runs through the course. I just starting skiing the course this summer and after a few sets I've run 4 at -15, 28 mph. I've made a mental list for myself for tonight's set to get me prepared to make a full pass. Here's what I've come up with. 1. Wide gate. 2. Lead with my hips. 3. Keep my head up. 4. Keep my weight on the front foot and keep my knees bent. 5. Anchor my elbows. 6. Get my hip forward to get to my hands / handle. 7. Pull through the second wake. Good, bad, thoughts?
  8. @501Brandon‌ We learned this as well. Just because you have a bigger guy behind the boat doesn't mean you have to nail the throttle. Steady and progressive and up they come. If you're the one getting pulled just resist that urge to get up so quickly. If you are getting pulled over the top, try and get the driver to ease into the throttle more. Keep the weight back and knees bent and let the boat get you up.
  9. I'm just a new baller, but I switched to a front boot this season from a wrap and really like it. Wouldn't go back.
  10. I use the surf mount with no problems. And the tether has saved me....
  11. Yes, addiction it is. Thanks for the welcoming, and encouragement. First thing I'm going to work on is to keep my arms straight and work on getting into a stacked position after the turn. Love the forum! Great info and inspiration. Some of you make it look so easy!
  12. Newb to skiing the course. I have been skiing for a long time but never with the intention of getting into the course. So armed with my 2013 HO triumph I got into the course for the first time last weekend. What I learned is that I have a lot to relearn and that it is a lot of fun. Ran 15 off at 28 mph and got 2 balls, nearly 3. Hoping to improve to run the course at 15 off 30 mph before summer is over.
