@bishop8950 I have to agree with Chad, I find those very distracting, find a point and stick with it.

I believe the Duncanville ski pond still holds the record for the most 39 offs run in one day (38)

@Horton met your niece yesterday, and she tricks! @lpskier add Ben Lutz to the incoming class, so now you've got four jumpers over 190. @Horton once they come here they never leave, Bammer for life.

THE MALIBU OPEN IS CANCELLED
We regret to inform all the skiers, volunteers, and sponsors that the Malibu Open this coming weekend must be cancelled due to an unforeseen algae bloom at the Milwaukee Lagoon. The county has pulled our permit and will not allow the event to take place.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this will cause everyone. We attempted to work with the county to no avail. We have attempted to locate an alternate site near the area, but due to this being a last minute occurrence, a site has not come to fruition. Tony Drake worked tirelessly to help with a solution, however we have been unable to make other arrangements that would be acceptable to Malibu and our many sponsors.
We are planning on rescheduling the event at a later date to be determined soon.
Attached is a copy of the mail I received yesterday evening from the county.

Chad,
Thanks for taking the time to talk. As we discussed, due to the latest information that we have received, we cannot issue a permit for the use of the lagoon at Veterans Park as part of the Malibu Open event.
In case you need confirmation of the contact for Lakeshore State Park, you can reach out to Tom Kroeger via email (I have included him on this message) or at (414)750-1237, as he may have a location that is able to host your event. Please see the following links for more information.

With these test results out of our direct control and monitored by the Milwaukee Health Department, we need to rely on them as the experts in regard to safety of both the participants and the public at large.

Good luck a the Open

@Horton I hear your sister is Bama bound? You need a Bammer in the family!
-
@oldjeep it's not a southern thing, just the way CC use to do their boats. Use a cradle from someone that's done both on MC boats since the early 90's cradle only.
-
Mike Morgan and JD Morgan won all three in Bakersfield the last time there 2000?
-
@JeffSurdej we gave at the Southern Regionals 32" tall trophies with 3 skiers on them for the overall winner, biggest hit of the tournament, but then again these trophies were $65 each, well worth the money. No complaints from 2nd, they know what it takes to win.
-
@Chad Scott as for someone that skied against Chuck, get rid of MM and let the best win. Everything in sports is measured against the best not an almost best.

Start at a pass you never miss, there are no second chances. Be ready when it's your turn, let the driver and boat judge know what you want, take the full 45 seconds on each end, don't rush your second pass.
-
@ Eric Kelly that has been talked about and the answer is no, 4 out of 4 is enough.
-
@lpskier not sure about the Tuscaloosa heat, never got above 95 with 95% humidity. Thursday was really hot though, the low biminis in some of the boat are hell, no wind, no rain except Friday afternoon for an hour, things rolled tournament finished at 2:20 on Sunday, @ MillerTime38 we do have the regionals figured out after 4 of them.
-
@Booze that deal was done three years ago when Birmingham bid on the Worlds, not sure where you have been?? Only one lake to do this event wakeboarding is at Oak Mt State Park, rowing is on the Warrior River
-
@UWSkier the 2021 World Games are at LLUSA with Birmingham hosting the event, pulled by Nautique, Bosch boats drive like early 1980's Nautiques
-
Thanks to all who helped make this years addition of the Regionals a great success. You the skiers made this event roll.
Thank You
