  1. I have a enclosed boat house, with security camera's pointing out and one inside. while others on the lake have had problems I have not. Inside camera only catches rat's running around.
  2. I live in Deland if that will work for you, what time in the morning.
  3. Rain storms have been missing my lake. The boat is stuck on the lift there is 4 inches of water under the back third of the boat. Skiing is done till it rains over the lake.
  4. Been riding an H1 the end of the session last year, at the time it was the best ski for me only complaint if I was not in correct position at the end of the turn I would have a problem initiating my pull. I have demoed the H2 and problem solved fast and forgiving great for a person like me who is working on being stacked but far from it. Have run my PB of 4 at 28off and that has been with the H2, the H1 2 at 28off. For those wondering whether or not to invest in a new ski I was riding a KD 7000 and my PB last summer was 3 at 25off ( have a progressive loop between 22 and 28off.) I demoed many skis last year and most of them I was able to run 4 at 25off by the 2nd set. If you are riding an old ski do yourself a favor and buy a new ski. I am keeping the H2. Horton, can't wait to hear your review. Glad your feeling better, not the best diet plan I have heard, but it worked.
  5. I have been using an O'neill outlaw vest no broken ribs yet. looking at the 2015 O'neill slasher vest it has more rib padding not sure if the vest will ride up with out straps.
  6. I had problems a few years a go and Sunny Ramey was very helpful. Not sure if she is still there her extension was 3119.
  7. Don't mean to hi-jack this discussion. I have been riding a 66" Helix last year at 166lbs I am now 156lbs , have the chance to trade to a H2 should I go with a 65". Ski at 34mph and working on 28 off
  8. Skied today, water temp 81 Air 86 lake was glass. Love central Florida.
  9. I am so excited, I haven't done anything before I ski. After reading everyone's post I should be running a new line length with a little bike riding, jogging and some light stretching. It's going to be a good year.
  10. The new fuel injected engines are just so much more reliable gas, oil change, fuel filters, impeller, grease where needed Done.
  11. dchristman- I had to replace the stringers and floor. Mine never got that bad
  12. 2008 SN 196 658 hrs I still have my first ski boat 1981 MC prostar power slot 190 on my 3rd hour meter about 3,000 hrs. 2 engine rebuilds 1 transmission rebuild. Just can't seem to part with it.
  13. Thanks guys, was curios if my progression is on par with most skiers. Damn it, I had thought I had cured myself of this addiction but like all addicts we are just fooling our self’s. I took 16 yrs off of skiing, life got in the way. A little more than 2yrs ago I found my old KD and hit the water and I was hooked all over again. Here’s the addiction part, I own lake front property so I rebuilt the dock and boat house bought a 08 196,vest, gloves , ropes last year this year demoed 10 skis finally settled on one, boy have skis changed. I think I will take the advice and get some lessons. On a good day I can run into 28 off 34 mph, my goal next year is to spend more time on the water and take some lesions. Did I say I was in my 50’s and my wife thinks I am crazy, I think I am good company on this site. Thanks Horton
  14. Question, how long did it take to run a new line length? How many sets did it take? How many months or years? What kind and how much coaching was needed? Did the latest greatest next generation ski make you run a new line length in a session or just a ball or two? What line length took the longest to accomplish? For you pros, not talking about 38 off or shorter.

    Bad ZO Puck

buoyboy1- Thanks, will try and unplug and reconnect. I did see the Garmin ones it looks like you have to replace the connects to connect to ZO. Do they work or is there some kind of programming needed. Has anyone tried this?
  18. Skied today, air temp 78, water 73, wind 1mph that's why I live in central Florida.

    Bad ZO Puck

Have a bad ZO puck on my 2008 CC 196. Diagnostic test shows failed 2 puck, not sure were to buy a replacement at a good price.
  20. Not just hours matter, how old the boat matters too. I think if your looking for a used boat you will buy one with ZO at lest a 2008 and newer. Thinks begin to fail with age, interior recovering's are expensive to replace, Etc.
  21. 53, only one big crash this year. Found the concept 2 rowing machine a the gym this year has helped me out tremendously it not only gives me a good workout but keeps me limber.
  22. I live near Orlando, just some info starting around fall our wind changes direction and blows from the East. During the Summer the wind is from the West. So take a look at a map and look at what side the lakes you are looking at are most protected from the wind. Hope this helps
  23. Central FL, BI 100 for Sunday will ski but sad to say but I need a driver starting next week looking for someone that can ski days through the week
  24. Demo ski's this year Vapor, Quest, Helix, Maples 6, 6.1,A3, S2 what a blast. I took 16 years off from skiing and got back on my old KD last year. This year when I felt some what consistent it was time to demo. I am working on 28 off 34mph. I ended up with the Helix very fast ski, I did like the A3 and it was a hard choice between the two. Will demo the HO V type in the next 2 weeks when performance gets in their demo. After reading reviews on this site I will say your choice between long and short line will be different. My first post on BOS.
