  1. Any idea where to find these? I can find the 2015 Rini, Rossi and Wilson brothers settings just not the 2014. Are they the same? Any preference on which to use? Thanks all
  2. Thanks @Horton, going to check out their selection now.
  3. She has been slaloming for 2 years on a 67" P-6. I got a great deal on it, she loved it but now is wanting to advance more in the slalom world. I'm not sure she is ready for the step up to the Vapor. Would the lithium or graphite senate be a good choice? Wakehouse has some great deals and at her weight a 65" would be perfect. Any input on the profile bindings or just stay with the Vectors? She is wanting to try the Hybrid Rear Toe Plate too. Excited for her. I just need to get it ordered!
  4. Hard to follow a triple Panda! Congrats @eddie_roberts_jr ! For me, PRE-BOS, I would have never thought to adjust a fin/wing. I would have thought the ski got to me the way the factory wanted it. So, who am I to adjust? Now, after BOS, I still understand very little about fin/wing settings but do understand that settings can make a huge difference. In fact, I ordered wing gauges and calipers just today. However, until my knowledge level increases (and my very basic slalom course skills are pretty solid) I will only be verifying fin settings and maybe adjusting back to factory recommended ones if adjustments are off. At my level, the fin/wing is very likely the least of my worries provided settings are pretty close! Factory settings are a great place for me to start. I have much more basic things to work on first!
  5. Beginning of year only 1 set per day. The body just doesn't have the ski endurance right now. I found myself in good body position (for me anyway) but breaking at the hips on about the 5th pass. It was time to rest. Am I finally at the age where knowing my limits is better than pushing it too hard and hurting myself? I expect that 1 set will extend into 2 sets but not until a little more conditioning occurs.
  6. I'm guessing that's for @Jody_Seal . @Horton ??
  7. Skied one weekend in Oklahoma before the ski clinic in Texas. Things are pretty much in full swing now!
  8. Just got the email, shipping ski directly to Radar for replacement. Thank you Radar, Thank you Bennett's and all others involved in any way. I honestly expected nothing less but wanted to give all involved a shout out for their great customer service. You all have earned my business for a long time to come. Thanks again folks!
  9. Incredible clinic set up by Skihard (Rod), great instruction by Trent, great driving all around, gorgeous weather (for my sets anyway). Trent truly is as nice as I had heard beforehand. Lots of camaraderie between friends. Couldn't have been a better weekend. Thanks to all involved!
  10. LOL @ToddL , @TFIN is an incredible coach. I've got solid mechanics to work on this summer after a couple of sets with him.
  11. @jimski , ski was perfect that morning and I hit absolutely nothing, not even a ball. @gregy , I've had it less than a year. Joey @ Bennets sold it to me mid-year last year. As mentioned, he has already contacted Radar so I should hear something soon. Very strange.
  12. Skiing my final lesson this weekend with @TFIN and the window on my 2014 Alloy Vapor fell out. I still had the ski on, couldn't see the window so I finished the set. I went to put my ski tog on this morning and noticed a decent sized crack in the ski I bought the ski from Bennetts and have taken absolute impeccable care of it. I emailed a pic of the ski to Joey and he has forwarded to Radar. Could the window be a structural component and the crack be caused due to it falling out? I have no doubt Bennett's and Radar will take care of me. Just looking for thoughts/input.
  13. Real world experience from Trent's clinic at Ski Texas this weekend. We arrived Thursday late afternoon and I had the chance to ski a set that night. Remember, this is the 2nd set I have skied all year. I taped as always but specifically remembered @Razorskier1 's mention of holding the handle in your fingers instead of in your palms. Thinking back, what I've always felt is the handle pulling from my palm, rubbing across my callouses and then settling at the base of my fingers before I was even up. So, I started with the handle at the base of my fingers (above my callouses). After the run, NO SIGNS of wear or tearing/rubbing on my callouses. In the past, even with tape, I could still feel some wear. This saved me considerable time in getting ready for the run. I continued to put just one patch of tape across my callouses because I didn't want to take the chance on missing a teaching session with Trent. But, my next set will be COMMANDO. The only wear I had at all was a tiny bit of rub on my middle finger, handle side, just below the knuckle on the outside by my ring finger. But, it was gone by the next day. If you are having this problem, I strongly recommend you try starting with the handle at the base of your fingers instead of in your hands. Thanks @Razorskier1
  14. @gregy , Thanks. I will call them shortly and see what they have in store. I can swing by on my way down.
  15. @gregy , I just checked their website. All they have listed are 5 styles of HO gloves. Did u order online? @rodltg2 , Skiing at Ski Texas. @Skihard says the lakes are at a good level and level can be drained a bit if needed. Plan to be on the water Thursday night!
  16. Any input on the Radar Inside-Out gloves? Look interesting and if I order today they can be waiting on me in Houston this weekend
  17. I resort to finger width strips of duct tape from first joint below fingertip down to about and inch or so below the base of my palm. I then wrap a piece of duct tape around my wrist covering the ends of the strips on the palm end. On the fingertip end, I have to wrap a small, thin strip of duct tape around every finger. This works well but is a pain in the butt (and gets me harassed quite frequently). I'm really considering either new gloves or Kevlar liners...OR BOTH. My downfall is thinking I can ski a set before I tape. NOPE. Once that skin is loose, it's going to come off. Honestly I haven't tried any other options besides tape but it is time to find another option.
  18. 1970'ish Kingfisher bass boat with a 55HP Evinrude (learned behind this boat) (Always loved bass boats as their wakes were so flat) Numerous bow riders, none with good wakes (including my '07 Tahoe Q6) 1979 Ski Nautique, big wake 2014 Carbon Pro 2012 Malibu Response LXI 2014 Malibu Response TXI
  19. @igkya is there a baller or BOS coupon code to enter upon checkout?
  20. Just a shout out to @OK_SKIER and his fellow slalomers for the pull yesterday in Bixby. The weather and wind weren't the best but I got to get in my first set of the year, meet some more great slalom folks and now have a fairly close lake I can ski on regularly. Loved the lack of wake on the TXI. Can't wait for more skiing after Ski Texas with @skihard this coming week. Thanks again Robert, Tim and Meredith!
  21. I'll have to look at the gunmetal this evening. Man, that would be sweet!
